Any 29.97 fps footage crashes AE 16.1
Hi After Effects 16.1 crashes continuously while adding any 29.98 fps footage to the comp.
It imports to the project ok, opens in the footage window, allows to trim but Ae immediately freezes as I insert -edit it to the composition.

Thanks for getting back to me, I did my own investigation since that time and found that it was particularly with the clips I've been given from the client, and to make my conclusion that it was with every file, I re-rendered that file with media encoder to different codecs- to dnxhd and to prores, andthe orginal was h.264, so I thought that might be the problem if its corrupted or so and got the same freeze with encoded fro memedia encoder, so I thought that's not the case. but then |I tried different footage 29.97 and it worked well and as expected. so I started to think that original file has some corruption and encoder inserts that corruption on a newly rendered fformats. but then I tried to render the original with 3rd party software converter. and then After effects read the new file correctly.
