Light interface theme
Please add a light interface theme, like how photoshop has an option to set the "color theme" to light gray under "interface" > "appearance"
a brighter interface than the current slider allows would be greatly appreciated as it would be alot less straining on the eyes in daytime, even a full white background interface option would be very welcome
Please keep consistent experience for all adobe apps .
Photoshop and illustrator do have it now.
It used to be available in AE CS6 and before, as shown in the video as it was in Premiere, why not anymore?
Just bring back a slider that goes from really light to really dark.
This will cover everyone's needs, preferences, and every situation, light or dark environment.

Absolutely true, older grey interface as AE CS6 and olders UI were better for our eyes as motion designers (and to see colors in a neutral environnement as graphic designers) and it is a day work (mainly)

Agree absolutely. I can just make PS legible - I do not work in a cave and I do not have 30:20 vision.

The current (november 2020) "lighter" theme really makes no different in term of visual stress, it's still hard to read.
After Effect CC/CS6 used to have a working light theme, you can see it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mRZv58h_0c

It needs more than a toggle to light grey, the contrast, for example the sliders, are not at an accessible level.
I’d love all apps to have the option to ha e a light grey interface with black text. It’s not great for designers to work with such dark interfaces and white text.it makes the eyes dilate and causes things to look blurry. Please give us choice :-)
it is still very dark and makes very little difference

You can already select a lighter grey in AE Appearance settings !
