RAM preview stutter with dual monitors and full screen timeline window
I'm on Windows 10 and I've been having stuttering RAM previews when I have an audio track enabled. It seems to be linked to the UI of After Effects.
I have 1x 4K monitor and a 1x 2K monitor, the 4K has the open comp and some toolbars and the 2K has the timeline at full screen. When I get the stuttering I get grey lines following where the playhead skips in the timeline.
Turning the 4K monitor down to 2K helps, but then also reducing the timeline window in my second monitor to be just half the screen makes the RAM previews play in real time most of the time.
I'm using a super simple comp with just a few shape layers and the audio track.
My machine is an i7 running 48GB of RAM, a GTX 1080Ti with a bunch of SSDs, including a dedicated cache disk. I'm using the latest version of AE 16.0.1 (although the issue is also in cc 2018) with all my drivers and Windows updated.
I've had the same issue on my other PC, which was also running the 4K monitor.
I've tried a bunch of work arounds like turning off the 'show cache indicator'. turning off colour management, turning the Hardware accelerated panels, but it really seems to be affected by the workspace setup.
Additionally with the monitor set to 4K, AE crashes when I try to reset the workspace layout or move the windows between screens.

Same issue here. It is a bug related with 4k monitors. It appeared with CC 2015, CC 2014 is working perfectly smooth with 4k monitors. Adobe is aware of the problem but doesn't seem to care at all.
