After Effects Crash on .TGA import to comp. Also get better customer service that can actually answer questions regarding a specific product
Latest version of After Effects. Import a .TGA sequence fine. Import a single .TGA and After Effects crashes and requires I close the app. The .TGA sequence that imports fine is 8192 X 8192. The single .TGA is the same size. One crashes after effects the other does not. This BUG just showed up today after update. Additionally I attempted to contact support and was directed to a person that was reading from a web page trying to assist, zero experience with After Effects. We pay a monthy subscription and the only time I have ever contact Adobe about a problem I get sent to a person who has zero experience. This is NOT customer service. My computer is running Windows 10, 64gb Ram, 3- Nvida 980Ti video cards, 8 core Xeon Processor. Huge waste of time. I will now have to uninstall After Effects and reinstall and older version. If the software is not ready to be released and has not been tested please do not release it and waste peoples valuable time. I attempted to attach the .TGA file and was given the error the file type was not valid and the attachment was to large ? If I cant send you the file how can you recreate the error ?

This bug was fixed in the April 2019 release of After Effects (version 16.1). You can install this release via the Creative Cloud desktop application.
