Still can't use 4K monitors with AE
We are up to v16of this program and I am still unable to use my 4K monitors to the fullest (or close to it) because I get random black vertical lines on my timeline when scrubbing or previewing, and also RAM preview does not work. It just won't preview in real time.
I have to set my monitors to the Windows recommended scaling of 200%, which makes everything bigger, but I would like to set it to 150%-175% to have more real state. I think this is something that should get attention as i'm pretty sure many people have this issue, and I personally can't set my scaling to 100% because it makes everything super small.
It's unfair that for Mac user (with Imacs with 5k resolution) AE works normally and text is not super tiny, previews work fine and timeline works fine, but for windows users we have these issues.

I have the same problem here. I'm working on Asus 4k monitor MG28U and it's very laggy with After Effects.
Can someone tell me if this problem occurs on 2K monitor as well ? Because I'm planning to buy a new one.

In the meantime, deactivate "Show cache indicators" in the timeline to be able to at least preview comps in realtime. AE performance with a 4k monitor and a threadripper is a disgrace.
