Bug Report: AE cc 2019 - Turbulent noise Evolution setting animation not animating in preview or render
On windows 10 Lenovo P71- When you move the time indicator the animation shows up. When you hit the preview play the effect does not interpolate. Nor does it animate when encoded. Other effect settings do function correctly.

I'm having a problem with turbulent noise evolution animation stopping after about 30 seconds whether I use keyframes or a time expression. I have a 5 minute animation and need it to work the entire 5 minutes. I'm using AE 2020.
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I looked at that. when I rendered it was not moving. However, the one thing I did not do is change the key frame. I moved it by a second and now you can see the interpolation. Strange, but I should have tried that first. Sorry to have bothered you. Thanks for the response.
Hi Ken, thank you for filling the details. I have made several attempts with your settings and I saw something close to what you described, but it wasn't completely static for me, only that changes between frames were too small to perceive.
With 64 deg to 2x+64 deg over 30 seconds, that's less than 1 degree delta between frames. The changes between frame would be super smooth and hard to perceive.
Here is what I have done: I set up the project with Turbulent Noise + CC Glass + Solids as you described. Used the "Take Snapshot" button to take the snapshot on the first frame. Then started preview. The frames looked static the whole time. Then I stopped in the middle somewhere and hit the "Show Snapshot" to compare with my first frame. The difference is pretty observable.
Please let me know if I miss something. If you still see problem, please reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is in Version 16.0.0 (Build235). It is in the Turbulent noise effect. The Parameter is "Evolution" I have set to do a linear interpolation from 64deg to 2x+64deg over 30 seconds. That effect is applied to a solid rectangle. That then feeds into the bumpmap parameter of CC Glass effect on a different layer. When I manually move the "Current Time Indicator" the effect updates and the parameter interpolates. When I do a preview playback the time line plays across but the effect does not interpolate , and thus the image does not change. I then further sent the project to Media Encoder and rendered out the Composition. The effect was static.
I then tried animating other parameters like transform and opacity, and then hit preview and they did interpolate correctly.
I do not see any place where I can attach pics or files, but ir you need to look at my computer on line let me know.
Hi Ken, Thank you for filing this report.
I just tried with CC 2019 but wasn't able to produce what you described. Can you share more details on your effect param settings? Which parameters are animated?
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing back from you.
