AE CC 2019 keeps crashing
I didn't experience any immediate problems after updating to the new version, and I was actually excited about it. However, today the problems started. I was masking a layer, when all of a sudden AE crashed and I got this error on my screen "<140735526355840> <BEE_MiscTasks> <5> Set Artisan Task: Classic 3D". Tried googling but couldn't really find a solution for this specific problem. Running AE on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15 inch, Mid-2015) with OS High Sierra 10.13.6. Now, when I try to open the project the app keeps freezing.

AE 2019 is completely unstable. I have serious problems with composition preview and tried many "fixes" online (deleting cache, turning cloud services off, etc). Still nothing. How does Adobe expect anyone to use their software???

I'm in the same boat. Just checked for an update and there isn't one (yet). Hope they get this fixed soon. I have to save after EVERY change. Even a simple move in a timeline object will kill it and it goes down HARD! Fix this please!

crashes when missing fonts. crashes when importing photoshop files, crashes when I precomp...crashes, crashes, crashes. Going back to 2018 and skip this version.

every time I try to record and end the recording it crashes.

Still having this issue. Just did today's update which states they fixed bugs and crashes but as soon as i opened the file again and move the mouse over the timeline, it's instantly crashed again.

it's annoying! i have to save every thirty seconds in fear of it crashing, and it took me an extra hour simply to make a 30 second video whereas it wouldn't prior to this version. the ae team is money hungry and nonchalant about any of the issues that are being brought forth. this is a terrible version and they need to fix it soon otherwise people are going to get so angry lawsuits appear.

jesus this version of the program SUCKS! I can't get any work done. Just keeps crashing every 4 minutes no matter what. I'm so happy I'm paying 55 monthly for this ****

I am getting this consistently too - I have loads of films to reversion and its killing me. Time remapping crashes, grids make it freeze, viewing the waveform crashes it - I may just have to go back to 2018 for now which is an absolute ball ache, running a 2017 MBP 15 inch 16gb sierra 10.13.6

Unfortunately same to me. As soon I open AE and I try to do something it crashes saving a copy of the same file. Last week instead of saving normally the file, it always created a copy of it. But at least it worked. What can I do?

I have never had a program crash more than this one is now. I should mention I also do 3D and use Maya. That's saying something.

SAME! my after effects has crashed a total of 6 times this week - and it's only Tuesday! It crashes while doing very simple tasks, like applying the curve effect, or previewing something, or adjusting audio levels... what's going on??
Extremely buggy version this 2019 update... not impressed at all! -

YES! I had immediate problems, i can't hardly do 3 things in AE before it completely freezes, crashes and either have to go to task manager to close it out or my whole computer freezes and has to restart. Anybody else?
