Unable to do any work, deadline is fast approaching, and Adobe has ****** me again. ******** ***** and your ******* expensive piece of ******* **** software! Crashing every time I try to render H.264 video to YouTube 1080 HD. What a ******* joke!!

Same i use ae 2019 and every time i try to add effects and more scenes it crashes and this is very annoying. Hopefully ae 20 will be better.

A few things to try: 1) reset your preferences by holding control, alt, and shift while AE is starting up.
2) If your HD is quite full, check your preferences under Media and Disk Cache. You can lower the maximum disk cache size, or make more space on your HD.
3) while you're in Media and DIsk Cache, try emptying your disk cache for good meassure.
4) Also for a faster experience, try using one hard drive for disk cache and one for source footage and working files so you're not reading and writing to the same disk at once.Cheers!

same thing here. i am very disappointed with this program. I am using premiere pro which works like a charm, no freezes whatsoever but there is lots of things i want to do which i cannot do in premiere pro but i can in after effects. So i've decided to buy it and give it a go. Luckily i didnt buy the annual package, i was very tempted though. I've only gone for the monthly sub.
Program freezes!!!! and i am not doing any super demanding operations. simple stuff but the program freezes frequently even if for 5 seconds but it does and this makes it almost impossible for me to work with a video file/project etc. I tried every possible fix i could find, nothing has helped so far.
Oh wait here is my pc so you get the idea:

1TB SSD
W10 Home 64bit
Is there an issue with my specs? i dont think so. Should be more than enough to handle this program. Is it because of all these new updates? anyone else has a similair problem ?

Just... freezes, on simple tasks, like moving the timeline. There is no connecting thread. At least 2 freezes a day every day this week. On the newest MBP, i9, 32GB RAM.

This insane. I can't get anything done! AE 2019 keeps corrupting my project files. WTF. 2018 was a little worse than 2017, but nothing like this. I have such a backlog of work, and I open a project to make a quick fix, and the program just hangs. I create a new project, it works for a day, then I go back to it to make a "quick change" and bam - beachball and corrupted project file. There is no reason for full new versions every year. Just tweak a feature or two... but leave the main program alone! We need stability and reliability.

It was the libraries/ color pallet extension panels that were causing a crash for me. I had to do a reinstall. First time, I tried keeping all my preferences, but it was still trying to open the libraries/colour panels and crashing. Did a second reinstall without my preferences (which I'd prefer not to do with all my plugins and custom presets) and it works again!

Same. It's happening to me when I open older files (still made in this version of AE) I starting using the libraries extension and color palette panel, and I'm thinking that might be the problem. It's opening with these panels open by default now and crashing almost immediately.

I’m paying £20 for a program that won’t allow me to use it due to crashing, I don’t really want to fight my way through motion 5 to do a simple task that adobe can do in a few minutes but really?

Sending to AME Render Queue doesn't work via keyboard shortcut. ANother tiny bug to add to your to-do list.

I wish I could have a discount when I'm upgrading my softwares to user-test them, because it's not my job to do it, and it's boring how a perfectly fine working soft needs to be transformed to an unfinished pieace of **** every 6 mounths.

Joining this thread and agreeing with everyone here. CC 19 is COMPLETELY UNSTABLE. It's frustrating to pay for something that is unusable. No support. I've been looking into alternatives. I've been resistant, but after multiple...continuous crashes this morning, I can no longer do it.

Installed a few days ago. Crashes doing minor tasks, no error codes, just freezes. Already crashed twice today within 2 hours. Unusable. uninstalling and going back to older version that rarely crashed for me.

I am on my second day of learning After Effects and it's pretty hard to learn a new program if it crashes just because the program is open. I didn't even push a button and it crashed.

Every version of After Effects for the past four years has been more unstable and garbage than the last. 2015 was the last semi-stable version.

Adobe is finally going off the deep end with their greed & mediocrity - yay capitalism.

Playback seems to go after awhile. Can be working fine then decides to give up. Clearing Cache doesn't appear to help.

Closing one panel in my workspace causes it to crash. Resetting workspace--crash. Increment save? Crash. All roads lead to crash. **** near impossible to finish my work on time.
