AE CC 2019 Speed on Mac
Just updated to After Effects CC 2019 V16.0.0. MacOS High Sierra, latest iMac with enough of RAM and supported GPU. Preferences resetted. CC 2018 works like charm without speed problems.
Anybody else experiencing a total slowdown of the UI with the new AE version?
Everything feels like frozen and AE is practically useless.
Sorry, cannot work with this. Returning back to CC 2018.
If this is not a general fault, any bright ideas what to do? Please...

Do you have "show grid" enabled by chance? https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911311-after-effects/suggestions/35740741-bug-report-enabling-grid-cases-extreme-latency

This was something really strange. I did not want to give up so easily and continued testing. Removing plugins, reinstalling everything, etc. The problem persisted. Finally, I got normal UI speed again after I deleted one Prores file I was testing this with. I was not able to repeat the problem anymore, so fingers crossed.

I've had the same experience with a slow UI in updating to After Effects CC 2019. I can't even drag guides in an empty comp without AE pausing and freezing.
I deleted the update and went back to After Effects CC 2018 and enjoyed speedy creating again.
