Add smart guides, snapping & guides like in Illustrator
Illustrator has done it right.
- dragging guides out of the rulers is easy
- guides snap and show relations via smart guides
- guides can be selected and moves via the keyboard & the position value can be easily adjusted in pixels
- smart guides help when positioning and resizing layers
- snapping helps to change the origin for the ruler
- elements snap to guides
Its also an Abobe tool, so please copy this behaviour over. In comparison illustrator feels like a very old, outdated software, even though you obviously know how to do it right.
Cheers

Yes and also guide layouts like in Photoshop, just being able to make guide setups for rule of 3 for example would make compositions in AE so much easier.

This is probably my top desired feature. Creating and modifying vectors in AE should be similar, if not identical, to Illustrator.

Make it possible to open guides you've saved in Premiere Pro.
That would be awesome! :) -

Could not agree more Lukas!
Adobe has perfected a lot of great tool in Id , Ai and ID 0- Ive never understood why they dont share technologies with Ae.
Especially Ae and PSD since they are both pixel based.
Hopefully realistic rulers that users can type in X and Y values as you said gets added soon.

Yeah I would love some more features for guides because they're so useful. Colors and labels too please!
