Previewing(thumbnails) files in media browser inside aftereffects not supported
In PPro you can in AE you can't what is the meaning of this? the next s-t-u_p-id thing as we used to in adobe products.

It's so hard to sift through footage for motion graphics use in after effects. The best way is to have a finder window, find the clips you need, and then search for that clip in the project window. It's a huge pain that can be avoided if AE had a Scalable thumbnail view for footage and photos like Premiere.
