I'm having an issue where previewing simply does not work. Sometimes frames will turn green as it plays though, sometimes only one frame will show green at at time. Even if it appears that it's rendering and all keyframes turn green, once it gets to the end of the work area, the green bar disappears completely and it does not play back. I've tried restarting my computer, importing my project into a new file, purging the caches, etc.1 vote

Maintain transparency "is used as a guide layer at the bottom of the layer, I want you to stop specifying that it will not come out by affecting it. (I'd like you to specify the guide layer as an exception)
I want to be able to select not only the upper layer but also any layer of the track mat
It will be more flexible if you can designate it not only for the upper layer but also for any layer
I want to be able to apply the adjustment layer only to a specific layer.
I do not want to apply to all the layers below

Please add the Arabic translation to the education and training section on the website https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/view-all-tutori
I find it difficult to do learning and development because the use of interpretation is very cumbersome1 vote
There is a persisting bug with the 'Time reverse layer' command - often drops first frame, sometimes drops or displays random wrong frame elsewhere in the reversed layer.1 vote

Since 2019 was introduced, currently all codecs used for exporting outside of low quality ones like avi and mpeg4 are resulting in videos with flickers and broken animations, as if the graphics card is failing - this is taking place when mercury software only is being used as well as enhancements.
This is the case when AE content is present in Premiere Pro or through Media Encoder.1 vote
A progress meter would be very useful when 3D Camera Tracker is solving camera. I currently have to sit here with Task Manager open to make sure it is still computing and hasn't crashed yet which often happens.1 vote
While manual tracking, or rotoscoping, I find myself often entering rotation values numerically, since the keyboard only allows us to rotate in whole degrees.
It would be very effective if a modifier key could make this more accurate: in steps of 0.1 degree. (just like it's possible to rotate in steps of 10, by pressing a modifier)1 vote
Opening up an older project, you sometimes get a notification about a missing plugin, but then no information on how to track down where the problem plugin is.
How many layers have the issue?
Can the layers and comps have a warning symbol so you can see where the problem is?
Can there be some sort of log that lists what comp and what layers are missing plugins?
It's really annoying to hunt around for them, delete/replace them, reopen the scene and it still give the same error because you couldn't find them all.1 vote
Thank you for filing this feature request.
Currently in After Effects, you can use the Search fields at the top of the Project or Timeline panels to search for either:
- The keyword “Missing Effects” (which is a saved term if you click on the magnifying glass icon). This will show all comps in the Project panel, or layers in the Timeline panel that reference effects that could not be loaded.
- The name of the effect that was reported as missing.
Does the above functionality meet your needs, or do you still desire additional functionality?
After Effects used to add in a "CreatorTool" to the xmp metadata in the project file (eg. "<xmp:CreatorTool>Adobe After Effects CC 2018 (Windows)</xmp:CreatorTool>").
This is really useful for finding out the version of AE the project was created in, so the correct version can be opened (especially when coding). This also displayed data in Adobe Bridge that's now missing.
Any reason why this was removed in CC 2019? Can we have it back?1 vote
When I do several layer with mask, or serverals shapes layer :
The paths of the different layers hide each other
The presence of two layers causes displacements of the paths
I did the last updates.

When doing Motion Tracking it would be great to see pixel error value

Bug report. AE CC 2018 can't playback composition on 4k monitor with timeline visible. When timeline isn't visible everything works.
Please fix 4k monitor problem.1 vote
Projects that I created in AE CC2018 or earlier (and till then worked fine) can be opened in AE CC2019 and will be converted. I can save without issues. But when I close the project (close, opening another project, or quit AE), then After Effects crashes with "Cannot allocate 0,000 MB of memory (29::3)" errors. Importing older projects in a new empty CC2019 AE project won't help. On top of that; opening such converted project in Audition CC2019 with Dynamic link causes Audition to crash. There seems some kind of incompatibilaty in AE with older projects that causes crashes.0 votes
Please add an Auto Ducking feature for audio in After Effects! It’s not ****, but it would be soooo useful.0 votes
