  1. Bug: Lumetri LUTs not available for creating Presets

When creating an Encoding preset, not all the installed LUTs, that show in PP, appear in the Lumetri Look / LUT dropdown. Further, I have been unable to import 3rd party Panasonic LUTS using the "Select" option in the dropdown. Apparently, the only compatible LUTs are in a legacy .ITX format? As a result, I am unable to apply a simple V-Log-to-Rec709 LUT to dailies footage that I want to transcode for client use, nor am I able to add such LUTs when creating proxy files. None of the supplied LUTs appear to have been designed as technical LUTs to…

  2. Numbering for Renders videos

Sometime you have a lot of videos to render and different version also so you want to know how many videos you are rendering and how many remaining to complete. Therefore, it's much better to have numbering in the left side than counting manually

  3. Tool set to specify naming conventions for image/exr sequence and multi-file exports

Ability to modify naming conventions upon exporting image sequences and multiple files i.e. uniform amount of digits within the sequences frame number suffix. For example:

    EXR_Export_Frame_00001 ... EXR_Export_Frame_10000

instead of the current default, which would export like

    EXR_Export_Frame_1 ... EXR_Export_Frame_10000

The non-uniform digit amount in the sequence suffix creates problems when importing sequences with many frames into Nuke for example, as Nuke wants to group sequences based on how many characters are in their name rather than only reading the linear numerical sequence. Therefore, you would either have far too many read nodes OR have to batch rename the beginning…

  4. BUG REPORT: Timecode Overlay is Incorrect

    Media Encoder v13.1
    Mac OS 10.12.6
    MacPro6,1

    Source file wrapper: Quicktime
Source file codec: Avid DNxHD 115
    FPS: 24 (not 23.98)
    Start TC: 05:05:24:03

Exporting to mp4/h264 using the Timecode Overlay pointing at the Media File for TC Source, and it's generating an huge offset.

Export Start TC Overlay (incorrect): 05:05:05:20

  5. Fix the LUT selection, PLEASE. Or make some sort of batch process for it.

Impossible to select a LUT in the dropdown menu of AME.
Nor to install additional ones for that matter.
(A quick look to the LUT folder it seems their own *.cube LUT don't show). Even if I convert my LUT to *.itx : it won't work.

I can't batch process a project lut --or any technical lut, within AME.
So please, at least give us a workaround because it's making AME and watch-folders completely useless for my use.

I also see this problem has been raised several times over the years, and no fix in the horizon...

  7. NVENC and VCE

Could you add support for GPU Hardware transcoding technology? Nvidia's NVENC and AMD's VCE technology, either of these would literally allow export times of 4k video at 200Mbps to take as long as the video's length is, rather than succumbing us to literal HOURS of export times for videos that are less than 10 minutes.

I have combed over the user forums and some of Adobe staff claim that it isn't doable. Yet here is the SDK site for NVENC:
    https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-video-codec-sdk

This technology has been around since the Kepler era of Nvidia GPUs. Which was 7 years ago since the…

  8. We want better optimization for Multicore processores and cuda on Mac OS.

Rendering times on multicore xeon machines is slow.
Media Encoder is using only 20% of machine processing capacity.

Also, cuda is not using the graphics card at all while rendering.
And it's slower than using software only renderer.

Can you please optimize your rendering engine to utilize our new fast mac machines more.

  9. Timer set to short

I have a bunch of videos being converted to smaller files. I run them when I'm not in the office. Well, the thing is every little while the Adobe window pops up asking if it is still me and I have to click "continue" to stay signed in and every time the window pops up the Adobe programs stop what they are doing so only a couple videos get done. The sign in window is messing up our work flow. It is going to be a real pain if all semester you have to stay with the computer or come…

  11. Reset

A way to properly & totally remove the cache. I had a project and AME would NOT encode the latest version.

I went to AME, prefs, media and cleaned the cache, but I still had the same problem. I finally had to output in PP which gave me the correct version.

  12. Media Encoder v13.0.1 Exporting gifs change all colours slightly. #FFFFFF changes to #FBFBFB

When I export my After Efects composition as a gif with Media Encoder, it alters all of the colours in my file. White (#FFFFFF) changes to an off white (#FBFBFB) this is not a colour calibration issue as when opened in other programs the colours can be eyedropped and are completely different. Exporting as a video keeps all of the original colours, only gifs cahnge.

  13. BUG: exported video has repeating audio

There is an issue with my exports, in that whenever I export a video through from Premiere to Encoder, there is always a small glitch in which a small section of audio from earlier in the sequence repeats itself later on randomly, on top of the synced audio.

I tried exporting it directly from Premiere but it always crashes.

Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it? The workarounds are incredibly annoying and time wasting.

  14. Please offer Adobe Media Encoder as a standalone subscription option.

Please offer Adobe Media Encoder as a standalone subscription option for those of us that have no desire to use Premiere Pro or After Effects. All of us Media Composer users will thank you.

  15. Simple idea to make Media Encoder feel faster

When I start Media Encoder from within After Effects it usually takes ages till Media Encoder even just shows the AE project. Why does it need every single detail from AE before even listing the name of the composition? Would it not be great to have AE just pass on the name and composition resolution at first. While the other stuff loads, the user can already enter a file name and tinker with the encoding settings. This seems very simple and would tremendously speed up my workflow. Thanks for your consideration. Til

  18. Bug in GPU utilization?

Don´t know if this is the right place for this feedback but when rendering from Adobe Media Encoder the GPU is showing 0% utilization. Did all the usual fixes/tricks but no change. Others experiencing the same issue - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2625909

Worked when exporting directly from Premiere (20 seconds) but when using Media Encoder and CUDA 30 minutes. Usually other way around.

    Using a Razer Blade Advanced 2019 with a 2060.

  19. slate

It would be great to have a slate feature, where I upload a bumper, or slate, or any other custom intro/outro file and have the ability to stitch it uniformly at the beginning and/or end over another clip, or for a Premiere export. Then to bake this into a preset.

  20. AME from AE frame numbering?

Frame numbering needs to be consistent when sending a render sequence out to AME. In AE you can overwrite specific parts of a sequence, retaining proper frame numbers. In AME the frame numbering ALWAYS starts at 0000 without any control, which makes rendering sequences to AME useless. Professionals use frame sequences for efficiency with motion graphics or FX. Limiting us to only rendering in AE or using 3rd party tools like Render Garden or BG Renderer shows a continued apathy towards your professional base. No, we don't need Premiere to work on a flipping Ipad, unless that's who your base…
