  1. Make renders GPU Intensive

When rendering a queue, I check in Task Manager, CPU is on 100%, GPU around 0%!
Many people have good VGA cards, while most of them own 7700, 8700 or 9700 at most, even having a few more CPU cores is not an advantage if compared to GPU based rendering.
So why both Media Encoder & Premiere just use CPU to render/export rather than GPU?!
In Media Encoder last version > Renderer: Mercury Playback Engine GPU... is selected by default, but no effect, am I doing anything wrong?

  3. Mogrts processed as media offline in Premiere sequence when using Watch folder

I am trying to export a Premiere Pro sequence with mogrts using the Watch folder in Media Encoder. I've tried several solutions to get this to work, and the only way I have found it to work is if I place the mogrts in the root watch folder. This is a problem because the Media Encoder will recognize the mogrt files and process them in the queue, thus having them moved to the source folder once they have been exported.

Moving a project folder (e.g. PROJECT1) containing a Premiere project, raw material inside a subfolder (RAW) and the Motion Graphics…

  4. Position and scale export incorrectly from Media Encoder

BUG! Position and scale export incorrectly from Media Encoder- they differ in exports from Media Encoder vs Premeire. Noticed in 2019 and 2020 versions of both programs!

  6. Larger Font Size Needed

The font size of app interface of any Adobe products is too small for users who have near-sighted eyes. When I use Adobe products for a long time in a day, my eyes feel really tired. Please add font size selection in preference. Thanks.

  7. Green screen when encoding MP4's

I always get a green screen when encoding MP4's - but only happens after a while. I posted a similar bug in the Premiere forum but nobody has answered - and I am not the only one with this issue with the spec I have.

It happens with any MP4 from my camera, creating Proxies and such like. Even if I use the software render. Please please please can someone look into my issue. It really affects my workflow.

The green screen affects all my Mac (i.e. Safari MP4 videos). I have to restart for it to return to normal.…

  8. Adobe Media Encoder 2020 | ARRIRAW Transcoding

    Hi,

I wish to migrate to Windows 10 PC and want to use ‘Adobe Media Encoder 2020’ as my primary transcoding app.

I am aware Adobe CC works fine with Red & DSLR workflows. But I am having difficulty with open gate ARRI RAW & Camera Audio to create proxy.

    Feature Request:
Secondly, can we have Tape ID/Reel Name data burn in (overlay) option like Da Vinci Resolve Studio/Lite or Pomfort Silverstack Lab.

  9. BUG: stereo audio mixdown stripping channels

If I provide AME with file that contains 4 channels of audio, when it exports it to H.264 with a stereo audio channel, it strips out channels 3 and 4 instead of mixing them down into channels 1 and 2 as expected. The help file for Media Encoder says "If you choose fewer channels than are in the master track of a sequence or project, Adobe Media Encoder downmixes the audio"

  10. Afterburner

Please add support for the Apple Afterburner Card if it’s not already implemented automatically when handling prores media.
Ideally, Media encoder would be able to use the transcoding skills of the AB card when transcoding from h264 mxf media TO prores on the encoding side of things. Let the GPU and CPU handle the decoding of h264 but accelerate the encoding of prores through the AB card. This could be a massive time saver!

  11. MAKE IT WORK

When you export video from animate and it's supposed to auto fill in to the queue, yeah make it do that, instead of you know, ******* nothing

  12. Background processing window

Add some kind of background processing window or progress bar. We need some indication the dynamic link is working. Sometimes AME opens and stays static for around 30 minutes.

  13. BUG!!! Media Encoder preset with timecode defaults to show frame count rather than TC

This seems to have been introduces with the latest update. I have a preset to render an H264 file with file name and timecode visually burned in. Before updating it worked fine. Now it shows a number(I assume framecount) rather than TC. If I switch to generate rather than source, then it shows TC. But if I save the preset on "generate," it saves the starting time as well, so the TC is not accurate. If I create a new preset, the first application works as expected, but once I apply from the saved preset it fails in the same…

  14. Please add CUDA support back into Media Encoder 2020 for macOS

Please add CUDA support back into Media Encoder 2020 for macOS. I use a Mac Pro Mid 2012 tower with an NVIDIA GTX 970 and 64GB of RAM. Only being allowed to use Metal as a renderer increases my export time to more than than 4x for the same sequences from ME 2019. I've tried using Premiere with Windows and Boot Camp, but can't properly edit multicam sequences in Windows on this thing because of constant audio drop outs and delays, so right now my best option is to edit in macOS, then boot into Windows for exporting with CUDA…

  15. Improve Media Encoder Performance vs Premiere Pro

Please improve Media Encoder performance. Rendering via Premiere Pro takes on a specific project 1 Hour. Exporting via Media Encoder takes 3 - 5 Hours. Please fix this. I have searched the internet and there are many people experiencing bad performance in AME compared to Premiere Pro.

  16. Fix errors in H264 Blu Ray encoded files - AME 2018

This is an observation of problems with AME 2018 exports after many hours of paintstaking work late at night to try to produce a H264 Based Blu Ray disc through Encore 6, but I suspect other authoring SW would have same issue.

I know Encore 6 is a legacy product and out of support - but AME version 2017 encoded H264 blu ray files which always worked fine.

There is also a thread on Encore Community Forums about this issue where other people have found same problem as well.

Today I see no way to produce a Blu Ray H264…

  17. Media encoder 2020, has grey cast on white when rendering max color depth?

I have graphic design orientated videos with pure white and text. They are prores video files. I have converted them to H264 mpgs.
Media encoder 2020, has put a grey cast on anything pure white when rendering max colour depth? I have checked for traces of colour in the white with the pipette. Has something changed or as this did not happen with previous versions? Best regards

  19. Add in FLV export support. It's an Adobe product so seems bizarre it's been removed.

Animate assumes FLV encoding is available then ME reports it can't be done when choosing a file to convert. Re-instate this functionality please.

  20. ExtendScript: Get a callback or something similar from Adobe Media Encoder when rendering in done

app.project.renderQueue.queueInAME(true); transfers the project from After Effects to Media Encoder to encode.
The render time may vary depending upon the complexity of the render. The function queueInAME( ) returns nothing back.
There is no way of Extend Script to know when the render task is done.
