Wrong sound when successful render is completed
Using AME 22.0 (Build 107) when a render is completed successfully I get the sheep bleating sound instead of the chime, but the encoding log says all renders have been successfully completed.

There is still an issue with the wrong sound playing upon a completed render in AME.
As I posted earlier here, I had the wrong sound problem, thought I had solved it, but it returned.
Recently, I upgraded to AME 22.0. After installing, the "finished encoding" sound was correct. On March 2022, Fergus posted here that it is fixed in AME 22.0 - this appears to be false.
I was recently encoding with AME, and I canceled the render. This made the "sheep" sound happen - which is fine.
BUT, after that, every successful encoding also resulted in the wrong sound playing - the problem returned.
However, I just figured out what causes it, and what fixes it
I like to keep the completed files in the queue for reference, therefore I do not have the "Remove completed files from queue on exit" checkbox enabled in the AME preferences.
Turns out, if an incomplete / problematic render remains in the queue, then every successful render will make the wrong sound. If the incomplete render is REMOVED from the queue, then the correct sound will play on a successful render.I tested it twice...
Back to the drawing board Adobe...

I was getting this problem, and so annoying.
Using AME v 22.1.1.
Today I tried:
1. Disable the "Play chime when finished encoding"
2. Exit AME
3. Load AME again
4. Enable the "Play chime when finished encoding" checkbox. Now it works!
Plays the chime, not the sheep.. Whew.

Thanks Fergus. Actually, the sound has a long history... maybe that doesn't matter to anyone else. it just sounded bad to one of my clients who knows what it means and he thought I was messing up and didn't trust my renders... (we had to carefully QC everything while he was here.)
This sound goes back to the 90s. The Company of Science and Art invented After Effects and was later absorbed by Adobe. I know its ancient history, but it does have a legacy and if you remove it without warning many users will be upset...

Resetting the preferences for ME did the trick for me. Hold down shift while opening the app. Thank you William Coons.
Also, I agree the sheep bleat is unprofessional.

ISSUE SOLUTION: OK, after my complaining last night about the most version 22.2 still having the sheep bleat issue, I came in this morning and did two things. I cleaned my Media Encoder Cache, and, I reset the preferences for Media Encoder. One of those two actions fixed the issue. The chime has returned after a successful render.
I am familiar with reseting the prefs for PP, and even resetting the plugins, but I have only done this in ME a few times many versions ago. Whatever the bug is, it can be resolved by resetting the prefs in Media Encoder. (or possibly emptying the ME cache...)

Having the same problem here using a MacBook Pro M1 MAX running Monterey. It started with 22.1 and has continued with AME 22.2.

4. It is a very angry sheep.
5. Please no more animal sounds I beg of you. It still terrifies me every time. -

Well, I was disappointed when I installed the latest update and the RENDER FAILURE sound was still there. I am on Mac OS Monterey 12.2. The machine I am working on is a new M1Max MBP, 64G Ram. (Apple M1 Max chip with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine)
The error has been consistent with the v22x of ME. It happens every time. We are a pretty busy shop with two MBPs editing and we use ME throughout the day.
The sheep bleat has been around since COSA owned After Effects and it has been the bane of my existence. It can strike fear deep into my heart.
And seriously, you might think it's funny, but we are buying 5 contracts and don't think it is funny at all. It's embarrassing to us when the clients are there and hear this. So get this sorted out. Feel free to contact me.

Same issue. Versus 22,1,1 Build 25. Encoding completes. Sheep Bleats. But the render is correct, finished and works fine. I do have chime when finished selected.
