ANOTHER BUG- Encoder insists on .MXF wrapper and not .MOV
I don't need MXF presets in ME- I don't need MXF output. I use a ProRes workflow throughout.
Please show me how to tame the unwanted choices without a degree from MIT?

Okay, I got a quick degree from MIT, examined my Project Settings> Ingest pane. What a pane. There it was, set to AVC-INTRA. Must have defaulted to that. Went down the popup list to ProRes-- and even though I see no ProRes (HQ) preset, ingesting an HQ seems to come in as... HQ!
It's a Premiere problem, not MedEnc. Solved.
Best, as always,

Further detail:
Operator error its entirely possible. Thing is, I usually don’t touch ME. So, when I import a 4K ProRes (HQ) file into my Premiere Pro project, and it comes in, I see it listed correctly— and then transforms magically into an MXF file with the dimensions 1280 X 720— whoa!! I’m not ready for that.
This is happening persistently. So I tried analyzing the ME presets. Apparently I have two sets of ProRes codecs— one set is actually oP1a in an MXF wrapper, the other is “pure” ProRes (HQ) in a .MOV wrapper.
So I uninstalled v 4.1 just as I uninstalled V 4.1 of PPRo for its bad behavior.
At this point, I’m using ME 4.0.4 with PPro 4.0.4.
And it’s still happening. What am I doing wrong??
HELP.
