AME 2020 fails on encoding 4K HEVC(H265), in AME 2019 it works fine
Today I repeatedly tried to encode a 4K HEVC(H265) file, and I got very quick fails with error code 7 (Out of Memory). Checked save locations, memory usage, disk cache, etc. Closed AME2020, reopened, etc.
Then I reinstalled AME2019, and it worked like a charm.
So it's a new bug, I guess...

Hey everyone, I figured out how to fix this after experimenting for an hour or so and using vidcoder to troubleshoot the problem. I made a video explaining what to do!

For those experiencing this issue, a weird workaround you can try is to:
- duplicate the sequence
- select all the contents of the sequence
- cut the entire contents of the sequence
- paste it back onto the same sequence -

This is also halting our production. This is completely unacceptable. Not one iMac and the newest iMac Pros can render in H265 successfully.

It is failing for me on EVERY setting since update. This has crippled my workflow completely as H265 is essential to the videos I produce daily. Can not roll back to 2019 as it throws a AE link server error every time I do.
I desperately need this working !!!!!

March 2020 and I'm still getting this bug. Adobe just loves to break stuff and forget about it...

Hi Daniel,
You can render H265 without bugs with AfterCodecs an exporter plugin https://autokroma.com/AfterCodecs/ -

Same problem here.
Used to work fine on AME 2019, but in 2020 I keep getting the same error over and over again.
But no solution yet I suppose? I've updated all possible drivers and software involved, that didn't do the trick.>200GB free on raid 0 SSD, 64GB ram, 2x GTX1080 in SLI.

I am experiencing the same issue.

double SSD media caches
AMD 2700
GTX 1060like my colleague, trying to encode h265. Works fine for h264
