Auto shutdown computer after encoding

Hi everyone,
I’m the product manager for Adobe Media Encoder and I’m excited to tell you that – finally! – we’ve added an Auto Computer Shutdown feature. It is in the bottom left corner of the Queue windows, in the beta of Media Encoder, which you can download using Creative Cloud Desktop (see the Beta section on the left side). Beta versions of our products are completely separate from the shipping versions, so there’s no risk in having both versions installed.
There are a few bugs still in Auto Shutdown. For example, if your Media Encoder job includes an upload to YouTube, we’ll try to shutdown the computer before the upload has completed. The job will continue uploading but then the auto shutdown won’t happen.
However, we’re definitely ready for you to try out this feature and let us know what you think. More information is available here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder-beta-discussions/discuss-automatically-shut-down-the-computer-when-the-ame-render-queue-is-complete/td-p/12386805
Regards,
Fergus Hammond
P.S. My apologies if you’re getting this message twice. I posted this comment already but forgot to update the status of the request. Updating the request statues includes an option to email people who voted for this feature.

It's unbelievable but users are begging since 2012 for this feature. And it's an hour to implement!!!

I cannot believe AME hasn't added this incredibly simple feature yet.

I've been wanting this feature for YEARS. Frankly, I'm baffled it's not in, already. I remember over twenty years ago (and, no I'm not exaggerating) it's being a standard feature for software that performed tasks that took a long time and we're typically done overnight, such as FTP-programs and CD-ROM burning software. Seriously, what's taking so long to get this feature in? Is it a patent-issue?

How is this still not a feature, I have seen so many posts about people asking for this. It's a standard feature in so many programs but not the most expensive one....
It can't be that hard to implement it. Some of these posts are dating back to 2016, and it still not an option, wow...
I even see answers from adobe staff that ensure that the engineering team will get on it if it's a feature that a lot of people want's, however it seem like something they just say to make people stop asking...

This feels like an obvious feature to me. And surely not too complex to implement??

Media Encoder needs a button which asks for: "Shutdown computer after encoding is done". This option I found in all other encoders and video editing programmes I used so far.
I can not beieve that this natural function is not in the big Adobe Media Encoder.
I guess this has a politcal reason. Fix this! This is the main idea of setting up a render queue in an external program. When you leave for the evening you press "start rendering" and then "shutdown computer when done".
So the processor is used, when I do not need it at all. -

it´s really necessary. Don´t want to let the computer run the whole night.

Really needed this feature when I have a bunch of long 4k videos in the list to encode and it's time for bed!

Will be really useful if media encoder has an option to shut down pc/ mac when encoding is complete. This will save the machine from staying on all night.
