Auto shutdown computer after encoding

Thanks for the features,
It would be nice if we can change the settings and switch between single job notification or the whole queue.
because sometimes I need to know that a specific video in the queue is done so I can share it immediately.
Maybe you can add a check box for notification for each job? -

This is possibly my most anticipated release of all time haha thank you so much for getting this added!

As for me, notification feature is much more usable here. Just to know when I can get back to my computer when the render finishes.

Good news :)
Don't take to long on end queue notification feature.
Thanks Fergus for letting us know -

Hi Fergus, this is indeed a important add-on and some cool news :-)
For me the notification option is indeed a mixed decision for me.. if only i can choose one from the 2 options, i would say "notification on the last job"...but... having notifications after each render has its own advantages. For example.. if you have a queue with different renders and one of them is a "heavy" one, having an alert from the previous sucessful render, gives me an estimation on what point the queue list is and therefore knowing what was exported already and what was not, without checking the computer and AME.

good to hear. Notification on the last job is probably most useful to me.

Please make it a dropdown menu with multiple options like HandBrake does.

anyhow: why direct upload to yt? Don't you watch and controll the video bevor send it out to the public?

So happy to hear this. I've been asking for this feature for YEARS!!!!

Very nice! I'd also prefer a notification after the whole batch is done. Thank you.

I'm very excited for this!
To answer your question, Fergus, I'd prefer after the entire queue was done. But I was more here for the shutdown than the notification angle! -

Hi Fergus, that’s great news, thanks for the update and listening to your customers. The notification upon completion of the final job in the queue would be the option I would find most useful personally.
Now I know it’s not your department but for the love of god can you please get someone from the AE team to acknowledge one of the most upvoted requests (timeline folders/groups!) as it has been there for years and surely it can’t be that complex to implement? Pre comping everything is not the solution and a lot of us end up with some very unwieldy timelines.
Thanks again

Ah, re-reading the comments, I noticed this one from Nick West:
"and a notification, email or app, when your jobs have completed please."
Guess what we're working on next? ;-) That one is not quite ready for a public beta but it's very close. Quick question for you all:
Would you prefer to get a notification when each job completes? Or just when the final job in the queue completes? Personally, the way I use Media Encoder, I only want to know about the last job (and I don't want hundreds of notifications when I'm doing a big batch of jobs) but I'm wondering what you'd prefer. We might be able to do both but if it's one or the other, what would you prefer?
Thanks,
Fergus -

Brilliant! Thanks for listening to the community on this one. Cheers.

Hi everyone,
I'm the product manager for Adobe Media Encoder and I'm excited to tell you that - finally! - we've added an Auto Computer Shutdown feature. It is in the bottom left corner of the Queue windows, in the beta of Media Encoder, which you can download using Creative Cloud Desktop (see the Beta section on the left side). Beta versions of our products are completely separate from the shipping versions, so there's no risk in having both versions installed.
There are a few bugs still in Auto Shutdown. For example, if your Media Encoder job includes an upload to YouTube, we'll try to shutdown the computer before the upload has completed. The job will continue uploading but then the auto shutdown won't happen.
However, we're definitely ready for you to try out this feature and let us know what you think. More information is available here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder-beta-discussions/discuss-automatically-shut-down-the-computer-when-the-ame-render-queue-is-complete/td-p/12386805

I want you to add a function to specify the behavior such as sleeping or shutdown after rendering is completed.

If you wanted to mock ...reducing energy consumption to save energy and hardware and in the end ecology, are concepts that don't really exist in (not only) American business concepts. Especially when they are stock listed companies.

There are so many requests for this going back to 2015. I'm amazed that Adobe refuse to implement it.
