Apply in&out points to multiple clips
Add a "trim" option to presets, with 2 horizontal radio buttons for "Trim by" and "Exact timecode", followed by in and out fields.
One is relative, the other is absolute.
If the trims are impossible, render will flag a warning (or fail) with the appropriate message (e.g. "Trim values exceed the clip's duration.")
(PS While we're at it, add scaling options to presets, too.)

Something like this. My UI for it was more the ability to apply a trim to one output setting and then specify that the same in/outs are to be applied to all other outputs. My use case is having to trim the pre-ramble of a few speeches each week which then get output to various sizes. Prefer to be able to play the video in Media Encoder and find the spot I want to trim in/out and save that output against the current preset. If I add another preset the trim is maintained on the next one. Or I can set all my outputs, adjust the trim on one and then apply that to other outputs in my list.

It would be great to have this feature. I would imagine it to work by stepping into the 'effects' panel within the preset menu in AME. There would be an option here to tell Media Encoder to trim x amount of frames from the start and end of the file.
We deliver TX files which has a 10second clock at the start and 5 second hold on the end. Being able to tell media encoder to take 250 frames off the start at 125 frames off the end for client copies would be helpful.

My main use for this is to trim slates. I sometimes "cook" e.g. 5 deliverables of 5 clips, but only 1 needs to be slated, and the others begin at first frame of picture.
Stepping into 20 clips and tweaking the in/out value one at a time is so cumbersome (and slow), that now I resort to exporting mezzanine files just to avoid doing that.
