Make image sequences available at import
Just make image sequences available at import.

Image Sequences are already supported via the Media Browser in AME.
Formats currently supported are listed here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/using/file-formats-supported-import.html
If there’s a format that you’d like to see supported that currently is not on this list, please let us know.
If there’s a specific workflow you’re trying to achieve that isn’t possible via the image sequence format support in the product today, please add more detail as to what you’re trying to accomplish.
Thanks
Patrick

With the "Media Browser" now so prominently featured in AME it would be great if image sequences could be imported this way, too. I tried by dragging frame no.1 in but could not mark it as a sequence. I tried selecting all image files and import as "stitch", but that wasn't successful either. I tis only via "Import>add source" that the option becomes available.
How about "import>add image sequence" or offering a pop-up dialogue when dragging in an image that seems to belong to a sequence. E.g. "This appears to be an image sequence. Do you want to import a single file or a sequence?"
Best,

Ah you're right, I can double-click in the "Queue" area, select the first image of a sequence, and there is a checkbox in that window for "file sequence". The thing I felt was missing was the ability to then add an audio track, but I voted for that elsewhere under the topic "merge audio and video into new video". Thanks.
