  4. Email when Encoding Item Completes

Add the option to send an email once a specific task has finished. For example, if a task is set to publish to youtube, and email containing the URL to the youtube page would be awesome.

  6. Adobe Media Encoder is Crashing on Batch Exports

Adobe Media Encoder CC2018 - Latest Update is crashing on Batch Queues. Initially it was a proxy exports and I just recently saw it happen with a batch queue of sequences for review / master file delivery.

  9. Let us set a maximum file size for best render compression

It'd be great to just set the desired output file size, and have AME do the best compression it can for that specific size. Thanks.

  10. Ability to notify about render status/render queue through mobile adobe app

Would it not be nice to be able to leave the workstation while it renders and get notified of completed renders/check status on the mobile app?

  11. Add QuickTime Reference file support again!

This was an absolutely superfast workflow for exporting from Avid.
Really easy and time saving. Avid even still offers QuickTime reference export in version 2019.9.

  13. Shutdown computer after encoding queue is done

Media Encoder needs a button which asks for: "Shutdown computer after encoding is done". This option I found in all other encoders and video editing programmes I used so far.
I can not beieve that this natural function is not in the big Adobe Media Encoder.
I guess this has a politcal reason. Fix this!

This is the main idea of setting up a render queue in an external program. When you leave for the evening you press "start rendering" and then "shutdown computer when done".
So the processor is used, when I do not need it at all.

  14. Parallelize png encodes

AME should automatically parallelize png encodes.

During an encode of a 5.7K video to a png image sequence, I'm getting pretty terrible performance. On an overclocked 10-core Windows machine with a fast GPU, I'm getting just over 1 fps during at 5.7K video export. A 26-min piece will take 15 hours.

CPU, GPU, and disk are all essentially idling--AME is using 1 logical core's worth of compute (5% of total CPU capacity), and GPU is at 0%.

It looks like I can manually parallelize png export in AME. I made 4 jobs, and each ran using 1 logical core (5%…

  15. Adobe Media Encoder bug - Media Offline for captions w/ After Effects

I've encountered a strange bug. I have captions and an After Effects lower third on two different tracks on a timeline. Using Mac OSX 10.13.4, AME 12.1, Premiere 12.1.

If I render out of Premiere, no problems.

If I send to AME and try to render, the caption track renders as "Media Offline".

If I delete all content such that only the caption and the AE clips exist, the caption track renders as "Media Offline".

However, if I delete the AE content (turning off visibility doesn't do it) then the captions will render normally in AME.

    It doesn't matter where…

  19. Bug: Lumetri LUTs not available for creating Presets

When creating an Encoding preset, not all the installed LUTs, that show in PP, appear in the Lumetri Look / LUT dropdown. Further, I have been unable to import 3rd party Panasonic LUTS using the "Select" option in the dropdown. Apparently, the only compatible LUTs are in a legacy .ITX format? As a result, I am unable to apply a simple V-Log-to-Rec709 LUT to dailies footage that I want to transcode for client use, nor am I able to add such LUTs when creating proxy files. None of the supplied LUTs appear to have been designed as technical LUTs to…

  20. Simple idea to make Media Encoder feel faster

When I start Media Encoder from within After Effects it usually takes ages till Media Encoder even just shows the AE project. Why does it need every single detail from AE before even listing the name of the composition? Would it not be great to have AE just pass on the name and composition resolution at first. While the other stuff loads, the user can already enter a file name and tinker with the encoding settings. This seems very simple and would tremendously speed up my workflow. Thanks for your consideration. Til
