Ability to notify about render status/render queue through mobile adobe app
Would it not be nice to be able to leave the workstation while it renders and get notified of completed renders/check status on the mobile app?

Play Videos from inside Media Encoder
I often use Media Encoder to cut down videos. Unfortunately though, because you can't play videos from inside Media Encoder, I often have to take them into Premiere first to ensure I've set the right in point.
Media Encoder should have the option to play video files.

Apply in&out points to multiple clips
Add a "trim" option to presets, with 2 horizontal radio buttons for "Trim by" and "Exact timecode", followed by in and out fields.
One is relative, the other is absolute.
If the trims are impossible, render will flag a warning (or fail) with the appropriate message (e.g. "Trim values exceed the clip's duration.")(PS While we're at it, add scaling options to presets, too.)

Failure
I believe we can all benefit from having a nice sound effect that indicates when a Render has Failed or Completed successfully.
It is incredibly frustrating to come back to my computer to see that devilish Red 'X', shamelessly telling me that AME decided to spontaneously abort mission without warning. Now this is, obviously, very frustrating and can ruin your entire mood and workflow. But, what if it didn't?
What if there was a little more satisfaction in successfully rendering a composition? Now here me out, I'm sure most of us have played a game or two at some point.…

Mobile App for Queue Monitoring
Having the ability to see the active queue and each files progress through a simple mobile app attached to your Adobe ID. Simple functionality like being able to pause, skip, or stop files along with push notifications for when a file is complete or if there are errors. Being able to monitor a long list of proxy files or work in tandem off-site with networked drives would be huge.

Warn the user when a video is being encoded with a banner over a clip
Sometimes a clip needs to be analyzed (warp stabilizer) and shows a blue banner (or warning label) over the clip, or maybe a clip has some sort of other banner (eg. red banner over a clip when you try to stabilize a clip that is a different resolution (must be nested). The problem is, when the video is exported these banners are exported too and there's no warning or prompting that this overlay exists. AME should warn the user prior to encoding (or immediately following encoding) that this blue or red banner exists AND give the user the timecode where…

There's no quantity number to tell us the total number of items in the queue. Would be useful

Render to Multiple Locations
Often times when doing renders, I'm required to copy the final exported file into multiple locations (eg: on my internal drive, and in Dropbox for other team members to access). It would be beneficial if Media Encoder automated this process, by copying the finished export into additional folders.

Background processing window
Add some kind of background processing window or progress bar. We need some indication the dynamic link is working. Sometimes AME opens and stays static for around 30 minutes.

You can stop AME from halting a queue mid-encode when you lose internet connectivity.
I realise Adobe needs to make money. I pay my subscription. But what gives with AME asking you if you want to quit mid queue (in this case creating proxies) when you lose your internet connection? Then stalling after it finishes an item without manual intervention clicking repeatably no to the dialogue box "do you really want to stop encoding?". We need to be able to render unattended regardless of whether we have a stable internet provider. A totally unacceptable situation. And Premiere Pro wants to quit as well.

Appending _1 to output
Can AME check for overwrites whenever a format is changed instead of leaving _1 appended to the file name?
I often export a preview mp4 and a ProRes file for my clients. Those have different extensions, so they're not going to collide. But if you duplicate an output to change it, it appends 1 to the file name to avoid a collision of names, but then when you change it to another format and extension AME should double check whether or not it needs to add that 1. It'd save me a step to not have to change the output…

Add command line control
I would love if you guys could add some sort of way to use AME through a command line. This way I can create an automated script to convert an entire set of movies or video to a new format to reduce file size. A way to do this would be great thx.

Make interpretation settings part of the custom presets
I frequently have to batch render a huge number of files to a different frame rate.
The only way to do this is:
1) drag & drop the files (slow).
2) Then select them all and right-click to reinterpret the files. (SLOW)
3) hange the frame rate (it’s is always defaulted to 1 fps??? Why doesn’t it at least remember what I last changed things to?)
4) Click ok …and wait for AME to make the changes (SLOOOOOWWWW!)
5) And then hit save (just in case something happens) and then hit render.

More descriptive Dynamic Link progress
AME can take minutes 'Connecting to Dynamic Link Server'.
It's hard to believe this takes so much time. I guess it's doing some checks and gathering footage. Maybe it's nice to tell that to the user. The progress bar just feels like it's frozen.3 votes -
time record
Hello, the software has a record of the render time, but when the project is finished, the time record will disappear. This is very inconvenient for hardware performance testing. It is hoped that the software can keep the automatically recorded time attached to the completed project and not disappear.

Add more options for Publishing to Vimeo. i.e. Viewable by anybody with link
I'd like to have more integration with Vimeo in the Publish window. There are only 3 privacy options now for "Viewable": Only me, Anybody, Anybody with password. I'd like to add the option of anybody with private link. It would help with automatically setting privacy for sharing with out clients.

When changing monitor configuration, reset window size and position so they don't appear off screen.
I've listed this under AME, as that's the app that I'm currently struggling with, but it affects other apps (AE, Prem) as well.
I work on a Macbook and some of the time use a second monitor. When I remove the second monitor and then open an app that's previously been open on that screen, it appears offscreen, with the window controls unavailable. The only way to fix seems to be to change my screen resolution, which causes the window to reset.
