A simple rotate function would be great! Often we convert phone footage, ant it needs to be rotated 90 degrees.
Pretty simple. Adding some rotate function to the crop function would be really helpful....and easy I imagine

It simply won't do it. Windows or Mac.

Merge audio & video into new video.
Sometimes you just need to shove some audio under a video. And booting up Premiere or After Effects is too much of a hassle. Let us merge audio and video and render that out to a new video.

Start frame number when exporting image sequence in AME
Start Frame number:
When rendering an image sequence in AME, I need the option to control start frame number - as I have in AE. So that I can correct certain frames, and render them directly into my existing sequence.44 votes -
Distributed Rendering
The Creative Cloud suite needs the ability to use other resources connected to the same network for distributed rendering.
Installing a small program on other connected machines would allow the primary machine to use the available CPU/GPU and memory of connected machines to speed up render/export duties.

Fix hardware rendering
In media encoder 2018 since applying latest updates to After Effects, on Windows 10, with preferences in AME CC 2018 set to
renderer: Mercury Playback Engine (GPU Acceleration)
when actually rendering it says "SOFTWARE only"It takes ages and doesn't seem to be using GPU acceleration even though it's in the preferences for AME CC 2018.

We want better optimization for Multicore processores and cuda on Mac OS.
Rendering times on multicore xeon machines is slow.
Media Encoder is using only 20% of machine processing capacity. Also, cuda is not using the graphics card at all while rendering.
And it's slower than using software only renderer. Can you please optimize your rendering engine to utilize our new fast mac machines more.

Get a text when an encode/export job is done.
I would love to get a text or phone notification when a job finishes encoding so I can leave the studio and come back when its done.

Allow the user to set options for after the encoding queue is complete (restart, shutdown, sleep, close Media Encoder, etc.)
Considering how long rendering/encoding/conversions can sometimes take, it'd be fantastic to allow the user to set an option for what happens after the queue is complete.
There should be no need to have your computer running all night when Media Encoder finishes the queue two hours after you call it a night.37 votes -
Fix errors in H264 Blu Ray encoded files - AME 2018
This is an observation of problems with AME 2018 exports after many hours of paintstaking work late at night to try to produce a H264 Based Blu Ray disc through Encore 6, but I suspect other authoring SW would have same issue.
I know Encore 6 is a legacy product and out of support - but AME version 2017 encoded H264 blu ray files which always worked fine.
There is also a thread on Encore Community Forums about this issue where other people have found same problem as well.
Today I see no way to produce a Blu Ray H264…

Watch folders with subfolders
Watch folders should be able to also watch and encode from subfolders. Having all footage in one folder or having to create multiple watch folders is very inefficient and impractical when dealing with a lot of footage.
I would also like to be able to use Media Encoder to automatically render small HEVC backup files of all new footage to be sent to offsite backup. Setting my whole video project directory as a watch folder with subfolders would allow this; the output folder would be easy to back up.

Convert .webm to mp4 or mov
I am sometimes sent webm videos or must convert to webm and I would like to be able to do so without downloading or using an outside converter.

Auto-shut down when encoding is complete
Will be really useful if media encoder has an option to shut down pc/ mac when encoding is complete. This will save the machine from staying on all night.

Media Encoder crazy slow since CC2019
This is a general observation rather than a specific request, but ever since the CC2019, ME is really sluggish. Things that are now taking ages and/or just plain crashing:
- Opening the app
- Dragging a mov in to the queue
- Selecting the preset
- Selecting the size
- Unchecking the linked ratio box
- Changing 1 pass to 2 pass
- Selecting output location.
So yeah basically everything takes three times longer than it used to. What happened!?
(Windows 10, 32gig ram, Geforce 680M, no problems before update)

Shutdown computer after encoding queue is done
Media Encoder needs a button which asks for: "Shutdown computer after encoding is done". This option I found in all other encoders and video editing programmes I used so far.
I can not beieve that this natural function is not in the big Adobe Media Encoder.
I guess this has a politcal reason. Fix this! This is the main idea of setting up a render queue in an external program. When you leave for the evening you press "start rendering" and then "shutdown computer when done".
So the processor is used, when I do not need it at all.31 votes -
Please: shut computer down on finishing encoding!
