  2. Media Encoder bug on subtitles + After Effects composition

    Bug demo:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9Dk1dn0org

Adobe Media Encoder bug - Media Offline for captions w/ After Effects
I've encountered a strange bug. I have captions and an After Effects lower third on two different tracks on a timeline. Using Mac OSX 10.13.4, AME 12.1, Premiere 12.1.

If I render out of Premiere, no problems.

If I send to AME and try to render, the caption track renders as "Media Offline".

If I delete all content such that only the caption and the AE clips exist, the caption track renders as "Media Offline".

However, if I delete the AE content (turning off visibility…

  3. HTML 5 video export

it would be great if a user could choose a preset in the media encoder that would batch generate all of the resources required to embed a nicely configured HTML 5 video into a web page. the way Dreamweaver is set up it seems to beg this workflow and productivity / interoperability feature.

i imagine it would also export a block of html that would already have the variables assigned and ready to drag right into our waiting project(s).

  4. QuickTime Pro Res Renders Failing

I am having the an issue when I try to render a Quicktime ProRes 422 master. I can encode it without problems within Premiere, but when I send it to AME I get the Export Error message, with error code 2147287036 listed. I am on a brand new 27 iMac Retina 5K, 4.2 Ghz processor, 64GM RAM, and a Radeon Pro 580 with 6 GB VRAM. This is a fresh install of Creative Cloud. There are no previous versions running on this system, as I installed Creative Cloud apps for the first time on Thursday. I am running 12.1.2 on…

  5. Render to Multiple Locations

Often times when doing renders, I'm required to copy the final exported file into multiple locations (eg: on my internal drive, and in Dropbox for other team members to access). It would be beneficial if Media Encoder automated this process, by copying the finished export into additional folders.

  6. Play Videos from inside Media Encoder

I often use Media Encoder to cut down videos. Unfortunately though, because you can't play videos from inside Media Encoder, I often have to take them into Premiere first to ensure I've set the right in point.

Media Encoder should have the option to play video files.

  7. Media Encoder has a memory leak from Premiere queues that causes whole system to crash

CC2018 Latest on Mac. When rendering a large queue (10+ short videos), the system memory slowly fills until the whole system freezes due to lack of memory. Cannot figure out a way around this bug. Must restart system each time.

  8. better default settings

I'm super lost and upset about the removal of the h.264 quicktime codec from after effects. Also, super unhappy that I can't render quicktime prores on windows. Since the work flow has been explaned to me by your adobe care twitter specialist that we must use Adobe media encoder for h.264 and the default settings are garbage maybe make the default more like these settings https://bit.ly/1ShdNKR better yet throw out the legacy codecs and give us something as good as ProRes!! Thank you!

  9. Render Fails When Rendering H.265 Directly from Premiere

Hello! I've been having trouble for the last few months when rendering Premiere projects as h.265 files. My premiere/media encoder is currently up to date, but this same thing happened in the last versions as well.

Basically, when I export premiere projects using the h.265 codec it often fails before the render finishes. Here is what gets written to the error file:

    • Encoding Time: 13:59:45
      07/26/2018 12:09:58 PM : Encoding Failed

    Export Error
    Error compiling movie.

    Render Error

    Render returned error.

    Writing with exporter: HEVC (H.265)
    Writing to file: \?\E:\AVE0 Temp\FurryComputer\redner1.mp4
    Writing file type: HEVC
    Around timecode: 00:09:10:36 - 00:09:10:44 …

  10. HEVC Codec error

I currently manage over 400 Macs with Adobe Media Encoder installed and I am seeing the following error when trying to import files that use the HEVC codec on around 60% of these machines.

All machines are configured exactly the same and have the following setup
    MacOS 10.12.6
    AME 12.1.1 (Build 12)

The exact error message I get is attached

  12. Convert variable frame rate to constant

smart phones are variable frame rate- if you want to be able to edit with this footage it has to be constant frame rate- hand brake does this for free but you have to choose one file at a time and its slow-

  13. PLEASE allow custom destination paths for each preset respectively

We constantly have to encode one commercial sport to multiple markets (20+) across the US. Each market has it's own video specs. It would REALLY be a time saver to have each preset go to a predetermined destination, instead of all going into one folder then having to sort them out. Please?

  16. Unable to produce frame

Since upgrading from 2017 to 2018 we can not use the Media Encoder batch processing feature any more. After 1 or 2 processed videos Media Encoder fails and we get the following error message:

    Export Error
    Error compiling movie.

    Accelerated Renderer Error

    Unable to produce frame.

    Writing with exporter: QuickTime
    Writing to file: R:\5760-Cineform\Incoming\ATM00442-Australia-Kangaroos-on-Beach-5760x2880-29-97fps-Cineform-2-Min-Col-Stereo-Sound.mov
    Around timecode: 00;02;49;19 - 00;02;49;23
    Rendering at offset: 130.998 seconds
    Component: QuickTime of type Exporter
    Selector: 9
    Error code: -1609629695

We would love to be able to render overnight again, rather than rendering each file from Premiere for 30-40 minutes before being able to work on…

  17. PP & AME 12.1.2 broke support for YI 4K+ 60fps

AME 12.1.2 is ignoring 4K 60fps files from the YI 4K+ Still works in 12.1.1

And Premiere Pro 12.1.2 says "The importer reported a generic error" on one system, and another records a series of events:

    A low-level exception occurred in ImporterMPEG (Importer:39)
    A low-level exception occurred in ImporterQuickTime (Importer:57)
    A low-level exception occurred in ImporterQuickTime (Importer:39)

(Oh and thanks in advance for adding that copy button to that Events windows for the next version..............Adobe......)

  19. Add ProRes RAW support so that we can at least transcode to 422.

We shot a film in ProRes RAW at the University I teach at and ended up having to do this janky workflow with FCPX to edit the files in Premiere. It would have been nice to, at the very least, throw the footage into Encoder to transcode RAW to ProRes 422. (like I have to do with the new Panasonic 422 10bit files). Thanks!

  20. Adobe Encore (stopped development in Adobe CS6) does Blu-ray audio/video multiplexing and Blu-ray authoring. What current software does it?

Now dormant Adobe Encore does Blu-ray audio-video multiplexing and Blu-ray authoring. What CURRENT software does this? Apparently it's not Adobe.
