  1. Add QuickTime Reference file support again!

This was an absolutely superfast workflow for exporting from Avid.
Really easy and time saving. Avid even still offers QuickTime reference export in version 2019.9.

  3. Drastic Difference in Color Rendering from Premiere

There is a drastic color difference when exporting via AME, compared with exporting directly from Premiere. See attached photos. I literally changed nothing on the timeline, but it's handled completely differently. This has happened to me twice in the last month, both from h.264 clips and ProRes 422 clips with Lumetri effects.

  4. Bring back .mov support please

I agree that .mov is outdated, but it is still a very typical format that drops in from time to time. Support for old formats is really really usefull, one never knows when they pop up. And it's stressfull to have to jump to free softwares like handbrake to get the job done

  5. AME 2020 fails on encoding 4K HEVC(H265), in AME 2019 it works fine

Today I repeatedly tried to encode a 4K HEVC(H265) file, and I got very quick fails with error code 7 (Out of Memory). Checked save locations, memory usage, disk cache, etc. Closed AME2020, reopened, etc.
Then I reinstalled AME2019, and it worked like a charm.

    So it's a new bug, I guess...

  6. Saving the rendered part of a stopped render

I would appreciate if there would be a way to save the rendered part of a stopped render. I have been rendering for 12 hours now and the render suddenly frizzed, if it fails of stops (like it did before SEVERAL TIMES) I will lose all the rendered parts as well as many working hours!

  7. Batch Destination/Naming Settings

Very frustrating that it isn't possible to change the export folder/filenames in bulk.

Compressor has done this well for years, with the ability to create presets for common destinations and file naming structures.

Something like that would be super useful.

  8. half input

Instead of choosing between "same as source" or a custom resolution.

Id would be great with a simple "half of input resolution" option when choosing resolution

  11. Media Encoder hanging during transcode

There is a bug that I have yet to see explained exactly the same as I am experiencing it. I'm trying to transcode some MP4 h.264 files into a higher compressed h.264 file to better fit in it's playback medium. I thought the issue was the computer going to sleep pausing the render, even though that should not have been the case.
-Fresh install of Windows 10 1809
-drop multiple mp4 files into AME, hit start and it will go for a while.
-after a few minutes it stops rendering. No error, no immediate crash. Just no movement, no change…

  12. BUG: Media Encoder will not generate drop frame timecode.

    1. If creating a preset from scratch, it is possible to "Set Start Timecode" to a DF (e.g. 01;00;0;00)...HOWEVER the output file will be NON drop frame starting at 00;59;56;11

    2. A preset with DF "Set Start Timecode" of 01:00;00;00 will immediately be changed to NDF timecode starting at 00:59:56:12 when applied to source clip in queue, and can not be changed to DF 01;00;00;00 once applied.

    3. In Preferences>Media, "Indeterminate Media Timebase" is always set to 29.97 Drop-Frame

I have tried several versions of Media Encoder:
    12.1.2 in Mac OSX 10.11.6
    13.0.1 in Mac OSX 10.13.6

  13. Drag clips from sequence into media encoder

Currently there is no way to export individual clips from a Premiere Pro sequence while keeping any changes/effects that were made in the Effects Control panel window.

It would be great to simply drag and select all of the clips in a premiere pro sequence, then drag them into Media Encoder, or open them in Media encoder so that they all show up as individual clips to export.

This would be a great way to batch export clips WITH effects and changes for social media re-purposing, after using the new ReFrame feature in Premiere Pro. (from going from 16:9 Horizontal…

  14. I would improve the connection with the dynamic link

To render a 10 second video, spend hours trying to connect with dynamic links and conclude nothing, unusable.

  15. Remember last outputfolder

When using AME as a render for AE, it's unpleasant to set the output folder for each queued item. A preference to make AME behave like AE (output to the previous set folder) would be nice and time saving.

  17. Media encoder takes twice as long to encode a premier pro sequence than exporting it from premier pro directly

Adobe media encoder does not utilize my systems performance when encoding a premier pro sequence, thus taking a lot longer than it should.

When i export a sequence straight out of the premier pro software, the software utilizes all my recourses and takes about 45 mins to endode whereas AME takes 9 hours to encode that same sequence using about 20% CPU with spikes!

  18. BUG: Encoder stops at end of encoding a premier project.

When encoding a Premiere Pro project in media encoder. The clip will finish encoding and export a file but will still sit unfinished in the encoder queue. If you push pause and play it will complete.

  19. Mogrts processed as media offline in Premiere sequence when using Watch folder

I am trying to export a Premiere Pro sequence with mogrts using the Watch folder in Media Encoder. I've tried several solutions to get this to work, and the only way I have found it to work is if I place the mogrts in the root watch folder. This is a problem because the Media Encoder will recognize the mogrt files and process them in the queue, thus having them moved to the source folder once they have been exported.

Moving a project folder (e.g. PROJECT1) containing a Premiere project, raw material inside a subfolder (RAW) and the Motion Graphics…

  20. Green screen when encoding MP4's

I always get a green screen when encoding MP4's - but only happens after a while. I posted a similar bug in the Premiere forum but nobody has answered - and I am not the only one with this issue with the spec I have.

It happens with any MP4 from my camera, creating Proxies and such like. Even if I use the software render. Please please please can someone look into my issue. It really affects my workflow.

The green screen affects all my Mac (i.e. Safari MP4 videos). I have to restart for it to return to normal.…
