Image Sequences are already supported via the Media Browser in AME.

Formats currently supported are listed here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/using/file-formats-supported-import.html

If there’s a format that you’d like to see supported that currently is not on this list, please let us know.

If there’s a specific workflow you’re trying to achieve that isn’t possible via the image sequence format support in the product today, please add more detail as to what you’re trying to accomplish.

    Thanks
    Patrick

  2. BUG report [mac only]: Audio Channels containing effects are muted during rendering.

[on mac] (iMac macOS High Sierra 10.13.5)
When we export our premiere project via Media Encoder, 1 audio channel is NOT included. If we export the same project directly via Premiere, the relevant audio channel is included.

The corresponding audio channel that is not exported via Media Encoder has the following effects:
    convolution reverb
    multiband compressor.

When we switch off the effects, the corresponding audio channel is included with the Media Encoder.

We have tried different export settings. (H.264 and match sequence settings).
We have reset Media Encoder (hold shift while starting)
We have tried to render through Open GL…

  3. reverse telecine

please add reverse telecine! This is a needed function and it forces me to go outside of Creative Cloud to address it.

  4. Real-Time Playback

Support for Real-Time playback in the preview window.

This feature is mainly useful if using AME as a stand alone encoder, which is genuinely something it excels at. This feature is present in Apple Compressor and was in MPEG Streamclip.

  5. BUG: Media Encoder Sequence Renders Super-imposed Elements as Upper Field Only

If I have a super-imposed element (with transparency) in a sequence that is sent to Media Encoder...e.g. a lower third, the result is that the lower third graphic only shows up on the upper field. If I choose to render directly from within Premiere, the output is correct (on both fields). It only occurs when sending the job over to Media Encoder.

Specifically I found this to be present in lower thirds generated from After Effects and imported as Graphics Essentials. I also found it when a black mask was drawn over top of a jpg.

  6. amending footage after export / merging two videos

I find I export a video, then need to reexport the full clip again after a small client amend. I think being able to overwrite a section and rewarp the footage would be a great feature.

I find using tiffs sequences works for this as i can amend smaller sections till everything is correct then re import them all as one clip. I dont want to export a full video every time as some projects take a long time to export.

Surely this feature can be done with raw quicktime files.
    h264 would be a dream but i imagine that…

  7. Installing ME on more than two machines

It would be great to be able to install Media Encoder on multiple machines (more than two).

This way you can assign multiple machines to, for example, create proxy files when you have a lot of big files.

  8. Make it reliable for rendering AE compositions

AME is not reliable when it comes to rendering for AE.
Time Remapping fails, some fx do not work, straight alpha is not available.

It would be great (and usefull) when AME renders exactly the same as AE.

Otherwise it is useless as a standalone renderer (as promised).

  9. Publish to AWS S3 bucket

It would be helpful for our workflow to be able to publish an encoded output to an AWS S3 bucket. (From there, it is ingested into our CMS.)

  10. QuickTime Pro Res Renders Failing

I am having the an issue when I try to render a Quicktime ProRes 422 master. I can encode it without problems within Premiere, but when I send it to AME I get the Export Error message, with error code 2147287036 listed. I am on a brand new 27 iMac Retina 5K, 4.2 Ghz processor, 64GM RAM, and a Radeon Pro 580 with 6 GB VRAM. This is a fresh install of Creative Cloud. There are no previous versions running on this system, as I installed Creative Cloud apps for the first time on Thursday. I am running 12.1.2 on…

  12. Encoding bitr rate is below the setting

BUG: Bitrates of exported files are significantly lower than the bitrate settings. Setting a Constant Bit Rate of 20Mbps yields a bitrate of 4.3Mbps on the finished file. The quality of the image is irrelevant as many media outlets have minimum bitrate requirements for deliverables.

  13. Fix whatever causes effects to render differently than they do in After Effects

In Media Encoder 2018 I've noticed some effects, like Particular are rendering different than they do in an After Effects render, like there are way more particles.

  14. .DNG actually working with proxies

.dng files, when turned into proxies, are automatically renamed so it's impossible, even with the 'rename files if there's an identical file' thing unchecked, to make proxies with the same name as their original Raw DNG files without doing it manually, one by one, in file explorer. Which would be insanity.

Fortunately, offline raw files reconnect to proxies easily when searching for media start time instead of file name. BUT THEY DON'T GO BACK. God in heaven, I *** wish they did. You can't out the proxies offline and reconnect them to their raws again. You can go forward, but

  15. Orange83 effect renders incorrectly when sequence is queued out to Media Encoder

A particular Orange83 transition renders incorrectly in Media Encoder. It's one of these: https://sellfy.com/p/DXuM/

It plays back fine inside of Premiere Pro, and renders fine if the sequence isn't queued out to Media Encoder, but if it's queued out to Media Encoder, the blurring and motion effects aren't rendered--it just renders a kind of "cut zoom in."

    Media Encoder 12.1.1 (Build 12)

  16. Since the springupdate 12.1 - april mediaencoder on OSX 10.13.4 became totally useless / unpredictable

Since the springupdate 12.1 - april, mediaencoder on OSX 10.13.4 became totally useless / unpredictable.
First is that encoding to HEVC is now missing the "max bitrate" setting. Only "target bitrate" is available.
Whatever I select, ME creates extreme huge temp. M4V files .
For example: HEVC traget 13Mbit/s estimatetd 3000MByte VBR = creates files of 25 GB..then tries to multiplex to a MP4 file, and therefor consumes every available discspace (up to 55GB in my case)...the OSX raises a warning ...running out of diskspace....the now created MP4 has now 11GB and is only playing halfway.

    If set to CBR…

  17. Include project link for Comps sent from After Effects

It would be great if AME has an option to include a project link in the same way the After Effects Render Queue does in the Output Module Settings dialog box.
