MKV support for Transcoding
MKV may not be a wildly popular format, but it makes Media Encoder unable to do it's job if MKV is not supported. I am look to transcode this format and I am unable to do this with this software.
Please consider making Media Encoder more useful by supporting more formats like MKV.

BUG: Xiaomi Yi files will not import on v14
They are mp4 h264 files, I've tried renaming to .mts and .avi, and clearing cache, no dice. This issue happens on both premiere and media encoder. I reverted back to Media Encoder 13.1.5 and it works again.

FFMPEG w/ a Command Line Option
I'd love to have integration with FFMPEG to able to send command line presets into AME/Premiere/AE. I do stereo 360 video and need very specific versions rendered out and right now the best way I have is to render out to ProRes422 HQ and then send that through FFMPEG. Would love to save a step here and just render straight from the timeline to my ffmpeg settings.

Adobe Media Encoder 2020 | ARRIRAW Transcoding
Hi,
I wish to migrate to Windows 10 PC and want to use ‘Adobe Media Encoder 2020’ as my primary transcoding app.
I am aware Adobe CC works fine with Red & DSLR workflows. But I am having difficulty with open gate ARRI RAW & Camera Audio to create proxy.
Feature Request:
Secondly, can we have Tape ID/Reel Name data burn in (overlay) option like Da Vinci Resolve Studio/Lite or Pomfort Silverstack Lab.3 votes -

BUG: "Match Source" resizes video
When trying to encode a 4920x180 source into an MP4 using "Match Source" preset, it resizes the video down to 4096x180 (adding black bars on top and bottom). "Match Source" should respect the original size.

Bring back .mov support please
I agree that .mov is outdated, but it is still a very typical format that drops in from time to time. Support for old formats is really really usefull, one never knows when they pop up. And it's stressfull to have to jump to free softwares like handbrake to get the job done

Add in FLV export support. It's an Adobe product so seems bizarre it's been removed.
Animate assumes FLV encoding is available then ME reports it can't be done when choosing a file to convert. Re-instate this functionality please.

BUG: mp4 files won't play in Windows 10 or 7 players
I'm rendering a project for a pro video house from 1080i, 29.97 to mp4 level 4.1 at various bitrates, from either Premiere or queuing to Media Encoder (same results).
Windows refuses to play the resulting files. VLC Media Player will, however. I've tested on three computers and three versions of Media Encoder. In the oldest version (2019), low bitrate files would play in Windows, but with two newer versions none do. So what's up?
I don't own copyright on this, but for 15 seconds let's call it "Fair Use."

audio track Selection
We have alot of masters that has 5.1 and 2.0 Mixes on them. When we have to export an H.264 for exemple with only the 2.0 mix on it we have to open premiere and select only the 2.0 mix. Could you make available the selection of wich audio track could be selected for the output in Media Encoder?
Thankyou

Add QuickTime Reference file support again!
This was an absolutely superfast workflow for exporting from Avid.
Really easy and time saving. Avid even still offers QuickTime reference export in version 2019.9.19 votes -
AME 2020 fails on encoding 4K HEVC(H265), in AME 2019 it works fine
Today I repeatedly tried to encode a 4K HEVC(H265) file, and I got very quick fails with error code 7 (Out of Memory). Checked save locations, memory usage, disk cache, etc. Closed AME2020, reopened, etc.
Then I reinstalled AME2019, and it worked like a charm.So it's a new bug, I guess...

Embed captions in more formats
You can currently only embed closed captions into Quicktime MOVs. This needs to be expanded so you can also embed captions in MPEG-2 (PS & TS) and MP4 formats. You can currently do that in Apple Compressor, but not Media Encoder.
