  1. Add NVIDIA GPU DECODING

Please add NVIDIA GPU decoding for better playback perfomance of h264 files without spending time for proxy creation process.
The most important in editing software is smooth playback and this thing is most ugly in Premiere.

  2. Use GPU video decode in source windows for h.264, h.265, 8 and 10 bit

All modern videocards support fast video-decode. Premiere is not using this free bonus.

We and many users experience sloppy 4K ans 8K performance in source window with dropping frames and hight CPU utlilization as a result.

The new Nvidia RTX2060 RTX 2070 and RTX2080 even support 10 bits video decoding. See decode matrix form Nvidia.

Even the fastest CPU will have problems some videostreams, even 4K 10 bit drops frames not to speak of 8K. With hardware decoding this is no longer a problem. The CPU utilization will be lower and the Premiere will be more responsive as…

  3. Add Discrette GPU Decoding and Encoding

    Dear Adobe team !
The most important in video editing software is perfomance and speed.
I think if You add discrete NVIDIA hardware accelerated decoding of h264 and h265 files, it will really improve the playback in PP.
Also if You add NVENC support for encode h264 - h265 it will really speed up the render procedure.
This what is done by Your competitors and this is one of the most big reasons why editors swith to Davinci Resolve etc.
I think this is time to do it.
I know that you working hard tgo bring a new functionality to…

  4. better use of GPU for more effects

Many sequences don't need anything off the GPU Accelerated Effects list, so the GPU just sits there unused while the CPU is chugging away.

Please add things to the workload of the GPU so that the CPU doesn't carry the load if GPU resources are available.

  5. Premiere Pro not using Nvidia GPU for rendering

My laptop has an Intel integrated GPU and a Nvidia Gtx960M GPU, however premiere pro will only use the Intel GPU for rendering, even if I have set the renderer to be CUDA and forced premiere to use the Nvidia GPU in Nvidia settings.

  6. GPU acceleration problem

Before the premierepro ver 14.5, the hardware encoding and decoding option of the media tap is just one.
At that time, there is no problem with exporting media. the GPU usage was over 90%.
From the ver 14.5, the hardware encoding and decoding option are splitted.
If I use the two options are on, premierepro expoting engine couldn't use GPU anymore while the GPU usage is over 90% when the encoding option is on and decoding option is off.

The same problem goes on at the ver 15.0.
    Anyone experienced same problem?
I think it is a bug.

  7. Add GPU Decoding For Better Scrubbing and Timeline Experience.

Currently Premiere only support accelerated hardware decoding which uses Intel Quicksink, if you don't have an intel processor the h264,h265 decoding relies all on the CPU. Implementing nvidia harware decoding will greatly improve the timeline experience.

  8. GPU

    Improve GPU Support.

GPU acceleration randomly disappears since updating to Premiere Pro 15 (now on 15.4.1) from 14.9. When switching to another Premiere Project GPU Acceleration sometimes is not available anymore and grayed out. Restart of Premiere makes no effect. Only restarting of the PC helps but cannot be the solution. With 14.9. everything was ok - never had a problem. NVidia Driver is updated. Adobe Suite completely uninstalled an reinstalled.

  9. My NVIDIA GPU does not appear in Project settings (Only Mercury Playback Engine GPU!)

My GPU is working but I can not select it in the Project Setting menu. Only Mercury Playback Engine GPU appears. I have run a GPUSniffer in the PremierPro directory, and NVIDIA GPU is seen.

I have seen many threads on the same issue. Please fix urgently.

Why does internal GPU working in 100% while nvidia gtx 970(in my case) is sleeping? - while rendering. I am using newest and updated premiere. Why noone is solving this?

  12. Include GPU in more calculations.

When cutting videos in 4K, I can't watch the video smoothly because the CPU does all the rendering work and the GPU does nothing. And I want Adobe to improve that the GPU does more with rendering and cutting.

  13. GPU Management

For users who have high end towers with multiple GPUs, it is not uncommon to run our main monitors off lower end GPUs, and drive other display devices with a high end GPU; it would be very helpful if we could select which GPU in the system to render with across all adobe apps.

  14. XAVC S decode issue

When using XAVC S codec from popular Sony cameras it appears that Premiere Pro decodes the footage to BT.601 colour space whilst other popular NLEs decode consistently with one another to BT.709. This means that anyone who records externally to ProRes (or others) will have an inconsistent image to the internal codec as the External version will be tagged in Premiere Pro as BT.709.

The metadata for the XAVC S contains an “undefined” tag for its colour space so I would assume that Premiere Pro would default this to BT.709 in accordance to the colour management system, not BT.601. …

  15. Bug: Unable to engage GPU acceleration with AMD Radeon Vega 64 GPU

When selecting options for playback and rendering in settings, Premiere/Media Encoder do not recognize the Vega 64 as an option for Open CL GPU accelerated rendering; forcing me to use the Mercury Playback Software in the application. (Drop-down menu is grayed out)
All software, firmware, drivers, and the BIOS build have been updated to the most current versions. Projects have crashed on export/rendering even on minimal intensity export settings. Is there a solution for GPU detection in Adobe software or perhaps an alternative way to engage the GPU as the primary rendering system for Adobe applications?

  17. Premiere Pro not using Dedicated GPU.

Premiere Pro is not using my Dedicated Graphics card: GTX 1080 6GB. It is using the CPU and my internal GPU, even if I set all the settings to use the GTX and add the card to cudasupportedcards.txt.
