  1. Poor cross dissolve quality when Composite in Linear Color turned on

Cross dissolves rendered when Sequence Settings has "Composite in linear color" turned on (GPU Accelerated) appear rough and incomplete (in preview as well as export). Mostly noticable at the end of the transition, as the transition jumps abruptly to the B side of the cut.

Turning off this checkbox enables smooth cross dissolve renders.

Cross dissolves should appear the same whether they are GPU or software rendered.

  2. Speed up h264 and h265 encoding with NVENC Nvidia hardware

Nvidia has included NVENC on its GPU cards. Adobe Premiere uses Mercury engine to accelerate effects but does not utilise the power of NVENC to speed up the h264/265 encoding this encodes takes a very long time. It seems silly to have this feature there in the gpu and not take advantage of it. Times would speed up by a factor of 4 if it was used.

  3. Bug: Another mercury playback / GPU rendering bug

Changing the opacity of this black video underneath my main video footage changes the brightness of my main video:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OEuBbvjEr1cEkpMNqY0TMyzBOQjOQ08e/view

Turning off mercury playback / mercury transmit fixes it. But I obviously don't want to edit Software only rendering as it's a massive performance hit.

  5. A hotkey to enable/disable all or selected effects in timeline.

I'd love to be able to turn off all (or at least the GPU intensive) effects when I'm editing.

  6. Make the CineForm codec more flexible (decoding old avi files)

For some years we have had the CineForm codec bundled with Premiere Pro. This is great.

But, to being able to even use old files (avi) created with the CineForm codec for let´s say ten years ago i must manually install the CineForm decoder from GoPro.

Since the CineForm codec is bundled today the most natural thing would be to being able to decode old CineForm files with the bundled CineForm codec we have today. Especially since the decoder software is getting harder to get. I cant even find it on GoPros homepage today.

    I have many hours…

  7. Better Threadripper Support

I have 2 PCs, 1 with an I7 6900x and 1 with the Threadripper 1950x and opening the same project , the Threadripper struggles in playback. Cant play 1080 footage (without effects) without dropping frames. CPU utilization is 30% max and GPU is 5% max. Both machines have a GTX 1080 ti

  11. Add Full Metal 2.0 support

Please add Metal 2.0 support in Mac OSX to utilize 100% of GPU and CPU during playback, render & export. It's a killer feature for any Editor on Mac platform.

  12. Driver NVIDIA for two or plus GPU

Hi, I'm trying out the DEMO version of Premiere 14.3. hardware acceleration does not work properly with 2 RTX 2080 cards with the latest drivers provided by NVIDIA. it works best with version 442.74. NVIDIA support therefore told me to write to you and report this to you, so that future updates to Premiere will fix this problem.

  13. GPU hardware acceleration fix of black source & program viewer.

For years, there's the issue, of black source and program-monitor, when using CUDA. Mostly with added effecs like lumetri-color or when using a browser at the same time. A second and third screen which is connected to the USB-C output of the nvidia card, could be an issue as well. There is no fix. Updating drivers and Premiere versions won't solve the problem. For years! So please make this a priority. Higher data-rates demand stronger hardware, but it's useless, if the software cannot handle it.

  15. Enable quicksync integration for 10 bit h264/h265 footage

Quicksync enables cpu graphics to be used in conjunction with the gpu however only for 8 bit footage. Please allow this for 10 bit!

  16. 360 MoGrts

It would be great to be able to create MoGrts for 360 videos that use GPU acceleration. Currently, if I create a MoGrt with effects that requires GPU acceleration like VR Converter, I get the "This effect requires GPU acceleration" error when the MoGrt is imported into Premiere even though GPU acceleration is enable in both Premiere and AE.

  18. SWITCHING BETWEEN [CUDA RENDERING] AND [SOFTWARE RENDERING] MAKES [GPU REQUIRED EFFECT] UNUSABLE

It should be a button somewhere which user uses it to re-render those effects. otherwise user has to delete those effects and manually add again.

  19. BUG with Hardware Accelerated Encoding & Decoding

When I enable Hardware Accelerated Encoding & Decoding my exported videos get distorted whenever the footage is altered with an effect, adjustment layer, or text, etc.

Specifically, the color of the footage is automatically adjusted and distorted (usually it's more bland and "washed out".)

For example, this is what the video should look like:
    https://youtu.be/x-CjxcvlKQY

But, when I export with Hardware Encoding enabled, this is the result:
    https://youtu.be/G_-NLqxSDsU

Does anyone know how to fix this? When I disable Hardware Encoding the video exports normally and there are no color distortions. However, I'd really like to enable it because it greatly…

  20. Warp Stabilizer bug on Mac OpenCL

I've seen other people discussing this problem in some forums but didn't find it addressed here. After updating to Premiere Pro 2018 on a 2011 iMac (El Capitan) with OpenCL GPU acceleration enabled, Warp Stabilizer now produces a terrible ripple effect across the image, like underwater or heat wave distortion. The problem is fixed when GPU acceleration is turned off, but then playback and render speeds are miserably slow. I've been working with warp stabilizer since it was released and have used it on hundreds of projects, but I've never experienced this problem until updating to Premiere 2018. So I…
