  1. GPU render errors

On a Windows 10 Enterprise i5 with 16 gig ram and Nvidia GTX750.

Getting this error occasionally on a project with effects. Must save project, exit PP and restart PP - then it will render.

  2. Make Essential Graphics GPU Accellerated.

Using any Essential Graphics template causes my render times to go up A LOT.

I have an M1 Max with 64gb Ram.

A 5-minute video will take 25-30 minutes to export.

  3. Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) vs. GTX 1660 Ti (Premiere Pro 2020)

    Premiere Pro 2020, Version 14.7.0, Built 23:
I can't use CUDA anymore. The preview window in Premiere Pro is darker than usual (grey parts are now absolutly black and details are lost) and formerly black parts are now green or noisy as ****. When I open the render window, everything looks normal. Also when I render it out, it looks normal. But I want to use my GPU which worked just fine until now.
Also I can't usw hardware acceleration when I want to render H264. I can just use "Software endcoding".
All Adobe products, my Windows and the GPU

  4. GPU Acceleration shifts colors and adds compression, Mercury Software Only fixes it

We are a team of 25 editors working both in PC's and Macs, with obviously a wide range of GPU's in use.

About half of us are experiencing issues with the following modules:
    - Motion keyframes not working (the image moves in a different way)
    - Color shifts (mostly hue, but also brightness)
    - Opacity not working properly
    - Adjustment layers flickering if opacity keyframes are used

Please, see the attached file for a demonstration on how using GPU Hardware Acceleration actually affects the selected color and adds unrequested compression.

  6. GPU/Computer Support

I have an i7-8700k with 24 ddr4 RAM and a Nvidia 2070 with 8g ddr5 VRAM, but premiere still stutters and struggles. I do not know any reason why it should have ANY issues with my computer. I could be doing something wrong, but an 8 minute video in 1080p should run fine while recording a voice over.

  7. Use Discrete instead of Integratde GPUs on prebuilts

Premiere Pro by default utilizes GPU0 on computers. However, in most prebuilts that include a discrete GPU as an extra, GPU0 is integrated graphics, and there is no way to make Premiere use the discrete graphics short of disabling the integrated graphics in device manager, which means one cannot use the iGPU for a different purpose at the same time.

  9. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++More effects accelerated by GPU

You could accelerate several important effects (for example the visual denoise effect of Premiere Pro).

  10. Reinstate download of Dolby Audio Decoder!!!

For the life of me I CANNOT figure out why Adobe would discontinue the ability to decode Dolby audio without using Windows 8.1 or 10.
Why would you include it in Premiere Pro 2017 but not later versions? It can't be that hard. 2017 just downloads the codec - which takes all of 5 seconds - then it's done. UGH. Stop removing stuff we need and adding stuff we don't. Fix the things that are broken first. Make it stable. After Effects crashes all the time. No idea why. It just does.

  11. Fix the GPU Render Error bug when using Lumetri

The system simply won't even let me render or see the clips with Luetri Color applied to them. There is no fix seen on the internet, yet a ton of people have this bug. Fix it already, make it a priority.

  12. Applying a Morph Cut transition on 2 clips results in green artifacting on both clips when using Intel UHD 620 GPU

I use an HP Spectre laptop with an eGPU (gtx1070) as my main editing machine. Sometimes I edit with proxies on the go without the eGPU, and I noticed today that Morph Cuts create artifacting on both clips whenever I am just using the integrated intel GPU. The artifacts look similar to the ones that were prevalent on Intel UHD 620 GPU's in version 2018.

Sinceramente me siento un poco defraudado, ya que las aplicaciones no aprovechan al máximo la GPU cuando se trabaja en la linea de tiempo.

Me gustaría saber si van a poder resolver el conflicto, o quizá deba darme de baja.

  14. Fix Canon 1DX II decoding bug

Currently Premiere Pro CC 2019 does not decode Canon 1DX II 422 8-bit MJPEG correctly.

The first attached file shows how Premiere has bug with horizontal pixels: where normally the order would be:
    0 1 2 3 4 5

and Premiere produces something similar (but not exactly) to:
    1 0 3 2 5 4

Resolve 15 (latest) correctly decodes the horizontal pixels (2nd image).

  15. BUG REPORT: Time remap of nested sequence results in black/empty video using GPU

Only work-around seems to be to switch to "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" which is brutal with 4K nested sequences.

This has been discussed for years on the Adobe Forums
    https://forums.adobe.com/search.jspa?q=time%20remap%20nested%20sequence

but I did not find it listed here, so I am posting it now.

  16. Premiere Degrades Quality of H.265 HEVC Footage With Non-GPU Accelerated Effects

I’ve noticed what appears to be a bug in how Premiere renders H.265/HEVC footage after applying certain effects. From what I can tell, if an effect is not natively GPU accelerated, the image will be degraded by color noise/artifacting and perhaps a color shift. It essentially looks the same as if using MPE Software Only.

Effects such as Warp Stabilizer don’t cause this, as I don’t think they are in the same processing pipeline, but I have found that the following do:
    Camera Blur
    Neat Video
    Color Balance
Flicker Free (older non-GPU acceleration version)
    Luma Key
    Posterize Time

    Out…

  17. Timeline Playback performance issue with Metal GPU and RED Footage

Adobe just came out with 14.01 update and unfortunately it did not fix the performance playback issue with RED footage. Just as a recap, when I load RED footage in CC2020 and place clip in timeline, the footage is unusable because it has a horrible choppy playback. The clip plays fine in program monitor, but as soon as you drop it in timeline it plays extremely choppy (Which makes absolutely no sense) In addition for some reason this corrupts the entire timeline. Even when I drop a simple text graphic into timeline it can't even play that back properly. Again…

  18. PP 22.0 bogs down with Fuji X-T4 footage

CPU (Ryzen 7 2700 @4ghz) shoots up to between 90 and 100%, and RAM fills up abnormally when playing back Fuji X-T4 footage in PP 22.0. Video decode on RTX 2080 Super seems unreasonably low with CUDA enabled, disabling CUDA doesn't change anything. Video playback gets stuck on starting frame, audio does keep playing, but things get so bogged down pressing pause doesn't actually pause things for about half a minute.

Rolling back to 15.4.2 makes things smooth as butter again. CPU sits at 5-8% usage, RAM doesn't shoot up much, and GPU's video decode is nice and active.

  20. Poor cross dissolve quality when Composite in Linear Color turned on

Cross dissolves rendered when Sequence Settings has "Composite in linear color" turned on (GPU Accelerated) appear rough and incomplete (in preview as well as export). Mostly noticable at the end of the transition, as the transition jumps abruptly to the B side of the cut.

Turning off this checkbox enables smooth cross dissolve renders.

Cross dissolves should appear the same whether they are GPU or software rendered.
