  1. Bug in Premiere 15.0: Canon R5 8K RAW files crash Premiere

    With Premiere 15.0 playing back Canon R5 8K RAW files results in a crash. It was working pretty good in Premiere 14.9, but after Premiere 15.0 update a total disaster. And now even after installing Premiere 14.9 problem persists. Before the update I was able to playback 8K raw files in full resolution with minimal dropped frames. Only selecting High quality playback usually resulted in a freeze or a crash.

    My PC specs:

    AMD 3960X
    64GB
    Nvidia 2080 TI

    On my HTPC that has AMD 3900X, 64GB and Nvidia 3090 playback is fine, although it can only play in 1/2…

  2. enable ProRes RAW files have individual exposure adjustment

    Due to ProRes RAW being limited within the MAster Settings tab for adjustment, when duplicating files to create a layer or otherwise, the exposure adjustment remains and can not be changed without affecting the original file as well. would be great if when creating a duplicate there can be a toggle to link or unlink files to have individual adjustment to the exposure.

  3. Bring the new Black Magic Raw to Premiere. Resolve 15 is getting more competitive with no monthly subscription.

    Please bring the new BM RAW to Premiere Pro and After Effects. Davinci Resolve is now becoming a colour grading, editing and special effects power house with 0 monthly fees. I do enjoy Adobe, but perhaps a reward system for regular payments might keep people from switching to Resolve which eventually will do everything.

  4. Add option to export using the proxies, not the raw, when using proxy workflow

    Please add an option in the Export menu to 'Use Proxies' (like the option to 'Use Previews'), instead of the export being transcoded from the original media. Editing 4k camera raw media with 1080 ProRes proxies, an h264 export can four or five times as long as it would if it was coming from the proxies when just exporting a 720 work-in-progress cut.

  5. ProRes RAW Source Settings - apply correct color space to multiple clips at once

    I am editing ProRes RAW, S-Gamut.cine/SLog3 material and it is killing me to have to do the following for each and every clip in a sequence:

    1. select an individual clip in the Timeline
    2. navigate to "Source" tab in Effects panel (not selected by default)
    3. Color Space > select S-Gamut.cine/SLog3 in drop down
    4. And then the usual Lumetri corrections, clip by clip. I will be editing a lot of this material, and it is always defaulting to BT.709. Perhaps there is a faster way already that I cannot find? If not, the ability to a) set a default color space…

    You have added Lumeri, it looks like ACR, but why does it not work properly?
    Yesterday I made one video after a long time of absence in the premier pro and decided to test how this relatively new tool works.

    Adobe Premiere read outs of the RAW files files from the Canon C200 is really really random ! Sometimes you can access the game and LUTS, sometimes you… don't. Same files, same camera.

  8. Clicking master effects tab for R3D Gemini footage causes crash 1 out of 3 times

    Hi there // I'm trying to colour grade some R3D Gemini 5k footage sitting in a 1080 master sequence and about 1 out of 3 times, clicking "Master Effects" in the "Effects Control" tab causes a hang, spinning ball of doom.

    It's very frustrating.

  9. BRAW looses RAW capabilities when filepath is changed.

    First of all - GREAT with native support for BRAW.

    My issue: When I import braw into a project, and for some reason change the path of the file - ie. changing the foldername or moving the project to another location - all RAW capabilities are lost and greyed out (BRAW-problem.png) or options are displayed as a's in the dropdown menus ("aaaaaaaaaaaa" BRAW-problem2.png). This also affects the choices and changes made in the BRAW settings, and the image is displayed as flat as when it was recorded.

  10. BUG -Mercury Transmit will not use screen 2 in 3 screen setups on Windows

    When using Premiere Pro 13.1 on multiple monitors with Windows with 3 monitors attached, Mercury transmit will NOT allow Monitor 2 to be used for playback. When selecting Monitor two, Monitor 3 will automatically be selected andk keep monitor 1 selected also. This behaviour does NOT occur with 13.0.3. Selecting alternate render options does not fix the issue.

  11. PRORES RAW PROBLEM WITH RYZEN / NVIDIA BUILD

    My PC:

    AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

    64gb Ram

    Premiere:

    V22.2.0 Build 128

    First edit job working with footage shot on my FX6 and Ninja V recording ProRes RAW,

    Have downloaded PC ProRes plugin etc.

    Footage edits and grades like butter. No problem with fx. Looks lovely. Until...

    I did full 'in to out' render for best possible playback for director, noticed a few playback glitches, then to my horror exported to H264 mp4 and different flavours of Quicktime ProRes and found these to be even worse. Same out of Media Encoder, Example attached, best illustrated…

  12. 1/8 and 1/16 resolution in a 1080 sequence

    Premier allows for 1/8 & 1/16 resolution playback within a 4K sequence, but limits 1080 sequences to a minimum of 1/4 resolution.

    It is standard operating procedure to use 4K footage in a 1080 sequence. So it would really help to be able to lower resolution to ease the load on the processor.

  13. Please allow proxies to be generated from raw footage based on the user chosen gamma profile, rather than strictly Rec709

    From within PP, I can generate proxies from imported 16bit RAW footage. However, I can't change the gamma curve/color space for those proxies. The render out apparently using a Rec709 transform, making many of the proxies difficult to deal with. If I intend to grade S-log3, I should be able to render proxies in S-log3 from 16bit RAW footage.

  14. Fix Anamorphic R3D playback at 1/4 or 1/8 resolution

    On several of our systems we cannot playback anamorphic r3d footage at 1/4 or 1/8 resolution without it being distorted beyond recognition. The problem seems to be occuring mostly with our systems that have Nvidia GPUs, and it makes some projects impossible to work on. We've tried:
    updating/rolling back GPU drivers
    updating RedcineX
    disabling OpenCL
    disabling Metal
    deleting previews
    playing back with square pixel aspect
    ... and nothing works. Right now we basically can't do anything in Premiere because the one system with an ATI GPU is not working at the moment and we have to render large sequences before…

  18. Bug Report: Premiere Pro 22.2 Canon Cinema RAW Light Audio Playback Issues

    When playing back canon cinema RAW light footage from my C200 the audio will drop out after 4 seconds while the video keeps playing. Then when I start stop the audio will start playing again before dropping out. The audio meter also drops out. When pairing the clip with separate audio it works fine. But even unlinking audio from the camera this doesn't help the issue. Anytime the audio from the camera is paired with the clip I see the same issue. Makes it impossible to playback clips to watch and review unfortunately.

    Hi Cody, 

    Can you tell me a few things about your setup? 

    1. What operation system & version are you using? 
    2. What version of Premiere Pro? 
    3. What frame rate is the video from your C200? 
    4. Is this a new problem; have you previously been able to use C200 media successfully? 

    C200 media is playing fine on my computer so it would be good to get some more info from you.

  19. GPU-Support for Exporting Canon Cinema Raw Light

    Premiere Pro (until version 14.3) does not use the GPU for processing CRM-files. Although you can draw the curtain over that for playback by using proxies, when it comes to exporting you can not get around that problem. The CPU runs at 100%, whereas the GPU runs at 5-15% depending on the effects used. Davinci Resolve is more than 100times faster rendering the same timeline with a similar grading.

  20. Paste Red Source Settings for .R3D Raw to multiple clips

    Hi, I'm working with .R3D files in Premiere (which is great btw thank you for making it so smooth) but would love to request something. When I go into Master Effects for a .R3D clip, I can copy and paste the Red Source Settings to only one clip at a time. It's a bit tedious to have to click into every Master Effects of every clip and paste the source settings to each clip. Are there plans to be able to paste to multiple selected clips OR is there already a way to do this and I'm just a ********…
