  1. Premiere 2019 still refuses to utilize dedicated GPUS on dual-GPU laptops

I'm running a Surface Book 2 equipped with a GTX 1060 and Intel integrated graphics. While I have had no issues forcing Premiere Pro 2018 to utilize my GTX 1060, Premiere Pro 2019 simply will not do so, regardless of the actions I take to try and force it to do so. Some users seem to have been able to resolve the issue on desktops, but I have had no such luck on my laptop

The options to enable hardware acceleration and CUDA rendering in Premiere 2019 DO appear, and all the boxes are checked--but Premiere 2019 still defaults to…

  2. Please add GTX1050ti(mobile) to the accepted Premiere Pro GPU.

The latest Dell GPS top end laptops are equipped with the GTX 1050ti GPU. When changing workspaces, PP continually crashes. This is a great GPU that is gaining popularity in high-end editing laptops.

  3. Need a GPU Rendering option

I would like to bring this issue to your attention. I was trying export in both Premiere and Media Encoder and my brand new CPU and it’s usage shot up to 100% nearing frying the poor thing. I do have a duel Cooler Master heat sink on top of the CPU. This CPU 100% usage also happens while rendering my videos in Premiere Pro too which were not graphic heavy. I have my renderer setting to use the GPU acceleration OpenCL and my GPU is running at most 3% and it’s a new AMD graphics card too. Is there anyway…

  4. Premiere 13.0.1 Lumetri GPU Bug (Windows + Mac)

There is a GPU glitch on Windows & Mac while using Lumetri with the latest version that is extremely annoying.

You cannot color correct anything unless turning off CUDA acceleration.
It seems to affect many people as well.

To illustrate the problem I've captured it on video:
    https://vimeo.com/300699996

    My system specs:
    Windows 10 Build 1083
    Intel i9 7960X CPU
    Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti GPU
    Premiere 13.0.1

    Things I've tried:
    Reinstall everything
    Install the latest NVIDIA drivers
Rollback to official supported drivers (411.63) with CUDA 9.2 for 13.0.1
    Clear Premiere settings & Cache
The only thing that worked is to change…

  5. MacOS: Improve / FIX Multiple GPU Support in Premiere

Multiple GPUs in Premiere are technically supported, but they are not utilized properly.

Need a way to prioritize which GPU should be used "first" or a ranking method where you run an app/command and the software learns which one should be ranked first.

An iMac 27" (iMac19,1) with AMD Vega 48 dGPU and eGPU connected will utilize the eGPU when it is present.

However an AMD 5700 XT eGPU should only be a supplement since the internal Vega 48 is much better for hardware encoding on export, but it is barely utilized at all -…

  6. Add GPU acceleration to Median effect

This is an incredibly useful effect when needed. Unfortunately it is very slow. Updating it to modern standards with GPU acceleration would be beneficial

  7. GPU support randomly disappears

GPU acceleration randomly disappears since updating to Premiere Pro 15 (now on 15.4.1) from 14.9. When switching to another Premiere Project GPU Acceleration sometimes is not available anymore and grayed out. Restart of Premiere makes no effect. Only restarting of the PC helps but cannot be the solution. With 14.9. everything was ok - never had a problem. NVidia Driver is updated. Adobe Suite completely uninstalled an reinstalled.

Unsing Windows 10 with the latest Update. Nvidia 1080Ti

  8. Metal GPU acceleration for all codecs/Better Playback:

NLEs DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro are able to use gpu acceleration(Including Metal) for Mac computers(MacBook Pro, etc). I can easily playback red raw files(r3d) in DaVinci Resolve(free version), but I can't do that in premiere. There needs to be better GPU acceleration to compete with rival NLEs. With Red Raw and Canon Raw, the cpu becomes the bottleneck, while only 50 percent is used for GPU. I pay a lot for Adobe suite, but I can get better performance on a free NLE. 8k red raw barely plays back in the source window at 1/2 res on…

  9. New Intel Iris XE GPU isnt supported by Premiere

I have a brand new Dell Latitude laptop that uses an Intel Iris XE GPU. This isnt currently supported by Premiere Pro and is causing A LOT of freezing. Would be good for them to sort out the support of this ASAP as a ot of new laptops have this GPU

  10. GPU Acceleration has a bug

For unknown reasons, Premiere Pro occasionally drops CUDA GPU acceleration during edit sessions, blacking out video playback. Switching to "software only" is not a fix — just an added inconvenience. The problem can be rectified by restarting Premiere with CUDA acceleration selected. Everything is fine until the next time it happens, once or more times a day, sometimes a few days without incident, regardless of the project. When active, CUDA acceleration works perfectly. Has anyone found a real solution?

  12. Rolling Title GPU Acceleration Broken

After spending all day testing and troubleshooting I have finally determined that the GPU Acceleration for Rolling titles is broken.

I have 10 machines with 24 cores, 128GB ram and RTX 2080TI video cards running windows 10, latest premiere version with latest Nvidia studio drivers., SSD drives and 16GB fibre channel storage.

I finally narrowed things down to a simple test and shot a little video of my screen so there would be no conflict with any screen capture software.

If you make a 9 line rolling text everything works just fine, but when you add the 10th line the …

  13. Needs option to select a specific GPU, so premiere pro can use that on priority.

Needs option to select a specific GPU, so premiere pro can use that on priority.
So in this way Premiere Pro can use a GPU that users feel will work best. It will not just optimised how premiere pro works but also it will boost the playback and render time. Rather than shifting on different GPU's let user select the best GPU he thinks he has. Or at least give option for selecting Multiple GPU ? So in that way be can give priority on which GPU to use first and second so they can be simultaneously be…

  14. Fix ISSUE with P.Pro 2019 NVIDIA GPU usage locking up entire system

I'm running a GTX 980 and a 4790k. Prior to 2019 update, GPU usage was never an issue.

Post-2019 update, Task Manager Shows 100% usage of GPU when just moving 1 slider in Lumetri Color. System Monitor also shows heavy GPU Memory usage.

  15. Let GPU handle speed ramping & Stabilization

It's a huge setback when it comes to performance. Please let GPU do more and more things, GPUs are now more expensive and powerful than standard CPUs.

    Good idea, but…

Not every operation can be accelerated by GPUs, and these are (currently) among them. The gains available are more than offset by the costs of moving the necessary data to the GPU, for processing.

  16. "This effect requires GPU acceleration" fix

Using Pixelan Dissolvemaster transitions on clips containing Immersive Video filters results in "This effect requires GPU acceleration" warning message. Please fix asap

  17. Make all effects including the basic ones support gpu acceleration

I would like to have all effects including basic ones, because i dont like a that adobe has made lost of marketing on gpu acceleration yet not all of the effects have gpu acceleration support.. particularlly the blur effets like "Bevel Edges" for example. I still think that all effects including the basic ones should take advantage of gpus

  18. HDR Encoding(REC2020), via HEVC(H265) using GPU Acceleration

Hi, my name is Andrew. I use Premier Pro to make my YouTube videos, I love the program. I use gpu acceleration for encoding via HEVC (H.265) which is much faster, but I would like to encode HDR REC2020 primaries, but it only lets me choose Via software which takes forever. Do you think GPU acceleration for HDR via HEVC (H.265) will be available soon for a future update?

  19. GPU Bug on Version 14.7 / 14.8

    Pr Pro running on Windows 10 Pro - Version 14.7 + 14.8
    Ryzen 3600 + GTX 1650 Super 4GB + 64GB 3000MHz + Everything Premiere-related on different Sata SSDs / M2 NVMe SSDs

Overusage of the GPU: Extending clips or elements on the timeline creates lag of the whole computer due to GPU being used at 100% - Mainly on 14.7, no solution found.
GPU freezes every now and then during playback (black screen but audio still plays back) - Solution: restart premiere.

Edit: these problems occur mostly when working with 8bit and 10bit H264 footage. No issue when…
