GPU
GPU acceleration randomly diappears since updating to Premiere Pro 15 (now on 15.4.1) from 14.9. When switching to another Premiere Project GPU Acceleration sometimes is not available anymore and grayed out. Restart of Premiere makes no effect. Only restarting of the PC helps but cannot be the solution. With 14.9. everything was ok - never had a problem. NVidia Driver is updated. Adobe Suite completely uninstalled an reinstalled.

Toggle "Frame Replacement for Decode Errors" feature off.
In a QC critical enviroment, the red frame for decode errors was an incredibly helpful warning of potental corrupt frames in a file.
If this visual warning is replaced with a duplicated frame then the potential file issues become much harder to spot and/or more time-costly to verify.
If frame replacement is seen as a critically usful feature, please allow users to toggle it off/back to the old way. With this new feature, Premiere updates past 13.0.2 become unusable in a QC environment/workflow, and users (us included) will be forced to switch to other software for critical evaluation.

It's a heavy effect you know? Wish my GPU could help carry the load

GPU Bug - This effect requires GPU Acceleration - but it doesn't earlier in the sequence?!
In follow up to the long standing topic forum at https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2397134 I'm having this as a different error. For some reason I can only use so much GPU time it would seem.
Can this be investigated please? Here's a new angle to this issue. I'm on latest everything BTW. I can use a VR Mobius Zoom at the beginning 30 seconds and VR Plane to Sphere elsewhere in my sequence beautifully. However, for some unknown reason, I can't use any VR effect in the last 10 seconds of the sequence. What?
I'm getting the Red Band of Death on both…

Non Linear Render Optimization of GPU and CPU actions when exporting and rendering.
Currently rendering of effects (in/out) starts at the beginning of the timeline and works toward the end. Often GPU will be rendering while CPU is idle, and then GPU stops working and we see the CPU cores go active. Why not simultaneous usage of GPU and CPU? If an the application is rendering a section of CPU intensive computations, and there next section of the timeline is GPU, why wait for the GPU to get to work on that section? Been watching CPU and GPU history alternate for several minutes. Oh great, now it beach balled mid render.

AMD Radeon Pro GPU Support
Hey Adobe team,
I know you guys use NVIDIA Cards a lot for your GPU optimization, but those of us on the Mac system are really feeling left out. Would be great to have GPU support for AMD as well as NVIDIA. A lot of people use Mac, so I think this would help a great deal of people.
Would love something along the equivalent of NVIDIA's CUDA support, but for AMD. Even a little love on that front would be great!

1080p > 4K sequence Drastically improves GPU playback!?!
BUG:
Slow timeline playback (Non-optimised GPU Mercury playback)SOLUTION:
Converting 1080p sequence to 4k sequence (in project setting)
drastically improves playback of 1080p files!?!?! (and applying "Scale to Frame Size")I suspect that Mercury GPU is badly optimised, and once i up-res the sequence setting to 4k, the GPU is better optimised.
Playback performance drastically improve (but playing reverse speed is still not smooth)
Hardware:
Asus GL502VS
i7-6700HQ

This effect requires gpu acceleration bug
We built a brand new system:
Intel 9900K
GTX 1080TI
16gb 3200 mhz RAMAfter re installing windows 10 times, and re installing all latest drivers, still the same annoying bug:
When we use a mix of gpu accelerated and non-accelerated effects, we get the banner saying: this effect requires gpu acceleration.
Please fix this bug asap, it's annoying..

Decode (608/708-A/53/DTVCC Transport) Closed Captions
Most Professional Broadcasters in North America are using this CC format and have been embedding it in MXF files.
Premiere is the only program I have found that doesn't decode this type of CC
I have attached a picture from MediaInfo showing that the CC is present on the file.
I also attached another picture from VLC (freeware) that also shows the CC is present.

better GPU support ?
When I stabilize anything really, the analyze goes well, but at the first milisecond of attempt of stabilizing, my GPU instantly crash and my PC with it.
Before accusing my hardware like even I would do on a forum, I must point out that it's my proffessional computer, equiped with high end Nvidia 1080, and that this perticular crash occurs ONLY with premiere pro 2018. 2017 stabilisation works fine.
I also completely deleted creative cloud (meaning i spent one day of WORK to delete and reinstall several gigs of data for Nothing).
Now i contacted the support already. never got…5 votesCan you share what version of the OS you are using?
Did you update your GPU drivers at any point? What version is installed now?
Since this is a GPU issue, is it safe to say that this problem does not occur in Software Only mode?

alpha/transparency displays incorrectly when using GPU acceleration
With GPU acceleration turned on in project settings, transparent graphics appear about 40 percent more transparent than they should. When GPU acceleration is turned off the graphics display correctly. This happens with both image files, .PSD, PNG etc., video files, CineForm, ProRes, and dynamically linked AE compositions.
I am using Premiere 14.0.3, RTX 2070 driver version 442.50, Windows 10.
Attached is a image with side-by-side screen grabs of a black graphic with various amounts of opacity over a light paper texture. Left side is the timeline with GPU acceleration off, right with the GPU acceleration on.3 votes -

GPU-Support for Exporting Canon Cinema Raw Light
Premiere Pro (until version 14.3) does not use the GPU for processing CRM-files. Although you can draw the curtain over that for playback by using proxies, when it comes to exporting you can not get around that problem. The CPU runs at 100%, whereas the GPU runs at 5-15% depending on the effects used. Davinci Resolve is more than 100times faster rendering the same timeline with a similar grading.

Decode EIA-608 A/53 DTVCC on Import
I have multiple MXF OP-1A XDCAM HD 35 formatted files which have EIA-608 (A/53 DTVCC Transport) text streams but Adobe Premiere does not recognize these captions on import. Is there currently a way within the Adobe Creative Suite to decode as caption files?

I don't know why Integrated GPU in Macbook pro(intel hd4000) are not supported for GPU processing. In high sierra Hardware acceleration is being used to export H264. Please help other owners of adobe premiere pro to use intel integrated GPUs.

Please give us option to chose the GPU we want to route to.
My internal GPU cannot not be used for Premiere, which is insane that I have an Nvidia 1060 in my laptop that can't be used.
