Collect and Consolidate media living outside root folder
Move any loose files living outside root folder, i.e. music tracks, graphics that are still living in the downloads folder and move to a miscellaneous folder within the specified root folder.
This could even be a more manual process just highlighting what does live out the root folder clearly and allow the user to copy.
It's often unnecessary to copy all files for archiving and when I want to change workstations I hope that this would save space and time.

Bring back the x to close panels / bins
In one of the recent updates the x on bin and panel tabs disappeared forcing me to right click and select close panel to close an opened bin within the project panel or window that is open that I want to close. They exist in After Effects, why take them away from Premiere?

Changing Framerates Workflow
For example, when changing the Framerate of an Sequence you have to go manually thru the Timeline as certian Effects like the "Warp Stableizer" needs to recalculate its data, It would me handy to have the option to do that for all at once as i most not touching the general settings after an change from 23,97 to 54,94 FPS

'List View Sort' default
Make 'List View Sort' default, because yet again the 'User Order' springs up randomly and I don't notice until it's too late.
If you do not know why having the clips sort themselves into a slightly random order without the user noticing is annoying and frustrating, then I will have to move software because you obviously don't care about users who edit full time.
Why on earth does this continue. I've complained about it in the past. We get it, user order is for sorting clips into scenes. But I want to have the clips sorted by filename. Obviously, right?

Adobe Premiere QA going downhill
Everytime I try change the workspace, Adobe crashes. More bugs seem to be introduced in new releases than previous version. These are basic issues, common Adobe - you're better than this.

Vegas Pro Play/Pause options
The ability to stop the playhead at a specific part, press play, and then pressing the pause button where it reverts back to the playhead instead of the playhead now being at the paused point. In Vegas pro this is how the space button works, the playhead remains still but the playback continues to move, if you hit the enter key THEN it stops in place and puts the playhead where you currently are

Color Labels in Touchbar
It would be amazing to control color labels by using a touchbar. The current labeling system (select clip, right click, select label, select color) feels clunky for labeling a timeline full of 50+ clips. Please help us get organized easier!
Suggested Action:
- Select Clip in timeline (with mouse)
- Select labeling tool on touchbar
- Select colors on touchbar - This would allow you to also view the color rather than guess at what it is (as it does now).
Thank you!

It's Icon View in the Project panel, and Thumbnail View in the Media Browser panel. Can we pick one?
It's Icon View in the Project panel, and Thumbnail View in the Media Browser panel. Can we pick one? I vote for Thumbnail view! :).

BUG: Workspace switching from different resolution/scale monitor results in no workspace
We have several editors. One editor has a 4K monitor set to 125% scaling. Our other editors are 1080p set to 100% scaling. When moving a project from the 4K/125% monitor to the 1080p/100% monitor, the workspace is empty. IE: Nothing is displayed. The fix is to reset the saved workspace.

Display duration of selection when dragging in timeline
When clicking and dragging a box in the timeline (to select clips), it would be very helpful to show the total duration of time that the dragged box is covering. This could be used as a time measurement tool, to roughly see how long certain parts of a sequence are. This could look similar to the info that displays when hovering over a clip (Start, end, duration).

Recent sequences menu
The context menu of the source viewer lists all recently opened clips - why not the timeline viewer too?
In the timeline (record) viewer's context menu, add a divider after the list of open sequences, and then list recently-opened sequences.

Keyboard Shortcuts Form - Default Control = Search Textbox
When selecting the Keyboard Shortcut screen:
Ctrl-Alt-K (or EDIT/Keyboard Shortcuts)the default control is <OK> so you can simply close that screen. Instead I would suggest changing the default control to the Search text-box, that way we can search and find a command we are looking for immediately and do not have to reach for the mouse to click in the search box or press shift-tab 3 times. And we can still press ESCape (as it currently is) to close that form at any time.

Add option to hide fx badges in timeline.
The fx badges in the timeline are not terribly informative and take up valuable screen space, making it less likely that the title of a clip shows up enough to be read. It would be nice to be able to hide them, or put them after the clip's name.

Custom Workspaces and Encoding Settings Disappear with an Update
Every time a major update occurs to the Adobe Priemere the custom workspaces (that I've designed that help me and my team of editors get work done efficiently) and our standard Media Encoding presets (on both Priemere and the Media Encoder Queue app) just disappear. I find myself repairing, and creating new presets every few months.
Generally, I wouldn't care so much, but it's starting to affect project consistency. Media is getting encoded at the wrong settings causing playback and shipping issues.
Please advise

Adjust Audio Clip Keyframes Within the Source Window
Adjust Audio Clip Keyframes Within the Source Window
A lot easier to adjust audio keyframes within the huge source window than to do so within the timeline. I know you can enlarge any timeline clip but that's one less step I'd have to do. I don't like to say do it because that's how FCP used to do it, but gosh darn it, FCP had that part right!4 votes -
Global Progress Bar
Add global progress bar for any processing happening such as morph cut and warp stabilizer. Sometimes I have several sequences processing, and I'm waiting to batch export but there's no way to know when all the processing is done besides going into each sequence and checking manually.

Relevant (not just numbered) file names for workspaces
Currently, workspaces are saved as UserWorkspace1.xml, UserWorkspace2.xml, etc. Would be very helpful if their file names reflected what they are called within Premiere, as Keyboard layouts are. Would make it a lot easier to share workspaces across computers.

Option to close current project when opening another project.
I would like the option to close the current project I'm working on when opening a second project. In Logic Pro if you're working in one project and open a second, a dialogue box pops up asking if you would like to close the current project or keep both open.
