  1. Imported Clips from a C300 Mark II and C200 and they are all named "CLIPS001"

Went to the Media Browser, clicked the root folder that held the "CONTENTS" folder, and context-menu'd "Import" and every clip is named "CLIPS001". This did not happen with the previous version, just this new Premiere 2020.

  2. Premiere Connecting to the Wrong Media

The problem we're running into was brought up by someone else in the forums back in 2017:

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/Premiere-Pro/Why-is-Premiere-linking-the-wrong-clip/m-p/10646862#M229918

In our environment, we edit off of our server, and have done so for a long time now, without issue. All systems used to be Macs, but we've started introducing some PC systems into the mix, and now we're starting to run into complications.

This particular complication is around Premiere relinking to the incorrect media when switching between system OS.

    1) Create a project in OS A (could be Mac or Windows), and then edit something.
    2) Replace an asset in the…

  3. BUG: Premiere Pro 2019 "Unresponsive" During Imports

I stopped editing for several months and recently came back to it. What I noticed is that Pr seems to have some issues importing the same types of footage that it previous had no issues with: 4K/60 h.264 files that are 5-6GB in size. Previously, Pr would just import them in with no issue. Now, Pr seems to lock up during the import, and again when I try to put that footage on the timeline for the first time.

During this "lock up", one CPU core from my 7900X is pushed right to 100%. The rest of them are at…

  4. STOP DUPLICATE MEDIA FROM BEING IMPORTED

This has not been fixed even though Adobe has claimed to fix this.

I have the media in one master project. My assistant has a their shared project. I open a small sequence from that project and drag the media from it it into my main project. EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY HAVE ALL THE MEDIA, I STILL GET DUPLICATED MEDIA. And on top of that it creates a separate folder for each small clip of footage. Take a look at the attached screenshot.

This is horrible. Fix this asap please. What's the point of shared projects if we can't move…

  5. Version 14 not recognizing Panasonic P2 in Media Browser

After installing ver 14 (2020), I noticed that Premiere doesn't recognize Panasonic P2 media. It only sees the separate .mxf files/folders but not the card/folder as spanned clips. The Directory viewer only shows/allows the "File Directory" option. The Panasonic P2 is greyed out.

However when I switch over to ver 13.1.5 (2019) media browser works flawlessly and gives me the option to view File Directory and Panasonic P2.

Any way to correct/fix this? Is this a build issue?

  6. Premiere pro 14.0.4 file import failure on some .mov files

Premiere pro 14.0.4 file import failure on some .mov files.

After opening up a saved project with previous version some of the Panasonic GH5 .Mov files are not linked. When trying to relink it now say "File inporter failure"

  7. BUG: V14.0 Audio Sync Issues on Import (Premiere Pro 2020)

Hi, after updating to Premiere Pro version 14.0 video clips imported playback out of sync in the program and source monitors. The clips play fine in any video player outside of Premiere. I'm primarily importing MP4 files. I tried renaming the files from MP4 to MOV but it's still out of sync inside Premiere. I shoot with a Canon C100 and switched the camera to record .MTS files - same thing. My only workaround was to switch to Premiere Pro 2019 where clips are playing fine.

  8. I want to roll back to previous versions.

I have no idea what you did, but as soon as I updated Premiere to the either of the two newest versions this week, I can't import anything without it freezing in some way, be it video input or just stopping on a small video file that worked perfectly fine in previous version. So not only are you raising the price of the subscription, but also releasing broken software that just does not work!

  9. Import issue with regular mp4 videofiles

Import does not work. Error "Kompressionstyp der Datei wird nicht unterstützt", mp4, 30fps, pretty normal videofiles.

Renaming of Media Cache/Media Cache Files does not work.

    Can you help?
Premiere Pro 14.0 Magician, running on Windows 10

    Thanks

  10. Color noise introduced when importing CinemaDNG in Premiere Pro CC

I'm using Premiere Pro CC v13.0 and face the following problem when importing CinemaDNG files directly in Premiere:

I get massive amounts of extra noise in my video, which is not present when opening a single RAW DNG frame with Adobe Camera Raw (see example attached).

  11. Low Level Exception Occurred - Importer MPEG Importer 8 - on dragging files into AP

I have been dealing with this issue for a while, I have read every relevant topic on this forum to no avail.

    Windows 10
    32 GB ram i7 500GB SSD
    GeForce RTX 2060

So this only happen occasionally, Id say 1 out of every 35 attempts of dragging clips to the media files in Premire, but sometimes if crashes when I only open up the file explorer, before I even try to drag a clip in. Usually the clips are MP4 since it sometimes happens when I just open file explorer it may not matter the type of file.

  12. Import and automatically copy to an assigned location on a drive

I'd like to create a bin and assign a folder location to it on my hard drive.
Whatever media I import in that particular bin, should also automatically copy the media to the assigned folder on my drive.

This is will be very helpful when we import stock sound effects, music or other media, and not have to worry about copying what I have imported to my project drive.

Professionals usually have a drive of stock assets of which they may use suitable media for a project. When working on a large project, I import 1000's of sound effects and…

  13. Bug Report: Ingesting P2 with Match Source - XDCAM HD is not using source frame rate

Premiere Pro and Media Encoder 14.0.2 on MacOS 10.15.3

When ingesting P2 media using Transcode Preset Match Source - XDCAM HD in Premiere, Media Encoder is transcoding 59.94i video to 25 fps instead of matching the source.

A quick test of the same media with Match Source - ProRes and Match Source - XDCAM EX works properly.

  14. Bug: MP4 file imported with incorrect image size

Bug: MP4 file imported with incorrect image size

MP4 files (produced by HS160 drone camera) are recognized correctly by other programs as 1920x1080. Premiere Pro imports as 1280x720. There are no settings to force correct image size. Example file is attached.

Workaround: use Handbrake to convert to another format, then Premiere Pro imports correctly.

  15. Premiere pro 14.0.1 media browser refresh bug

3 different workstations in a Facilis shared storage environment, upon upgrading the machines to 14.0.1, the media brower refreshes every 3 - 4 seconds making it very difficult to import media. An open project itself is stable and shows no signs of issues. Only accessing the shared storage thru the media browser. Low drive no problem. These are all Macs (iMac Pro and 2 2013 trashcans - fully loaded with ram) OS 10.14.6, Facilis 7.12. Downgrading Premiere to 14.0.0 and the problem disappears.

  16. When importing a PSD, the "import as:" selection should have an "apply to all" option for multiple PSDs

When importing a layered PSD, the "import as" selection should have an "apply to all" option so that it applies to multiple PSDs that are being imported. Currently, you need to perform that action for each one separately which can be quite cumbersome

  17. Replacing a timeline clip by Option+dragging from Finder does not import media to Project bin

I dragged an updated animated clip into my Premiere timeline directly from the Finder window (macOS Mojave) holding Option to replace the existing clip. The new clip is not imported to the Project bin and "Reveal in Project" cannot find it. If the project is closed and opened, the missing clip appears in a bin called "Recovered clips".

  18. Automatic file import from specific folder

It would be great to have an option which connect a bin with a folder.
For example, I can connect Folder A (on my hard disk) with Bin A (of Premiere), so whenever I add a file in Folder A it automatically adds it to Bin A inside Premiere

  19. Timecode sync audio/video in batches

Sync audio and video by timecode in batches:
It would be great if you could select an entire bin or folder full of clips and autosync ALL of them in one go via timecode. As it is right now, you need to do them one by one which is very time consuming if you have hundreds of hours worth of material.

  20. Bring back MKV support. This would be a huge milestone for OBS users.

I record a bunch of gameplay videos with OBS, which, by default, exports to MKV. The feature was added in 2018, but was removed a year later. I don't want to have to remux my recordings to MP4 every time I record a gameplay video.

Many others are begging for it too. MKV is a container format, and OBS by default exports in H264. Removing support in 2019 was unnecessary and detrimental.
