Premiere not detecting audio in C100 footage
Premiere is not recognizing the audio on my C100 footage when I import it. When I look at the audio in the source monitor, there is no wave form there is no audio on playback. When I try to sync by audio Premiere gives me an error that it can't beacause there is no audio. The audio is there when I play it back in VLC media player. Sometimes when I replace the footage, or make it offline and then relink it premiere will pick up the audio. But not always. This is happening on 3 different Intel based PC's…

Import media as proxy
Import media as proxy file.
Often we are sent dailies/proxies (shooting 4k, dailies made at 1080p) which are used to start editing the next day. We do not receive full resolution media to up to a week or so later. It would be beneficial to be able to import the dailies as proxy media so it can mimic the 4k resolution and therefore eliminate the need to resize during the online process and attach the native source media easily.

Premiere Pro New Import Problem
I am using Premiere Pro 22.4.0 on a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021)
Using the new import / create a project in the updated Premiere I copy my video files from an SD card to an external hard drive. I do this by selecting copy media on the right panel and selecting my external hard drive as the location. This usually uses Adobe Ingest and opens up Media Encoder which will automatically copy the files to the new location.
But I get an error in the Events: 'Invailed Copy Path' which means the files are not copied over.
If I change…

Bug/Missing Feature: 22.4 Importing Time Lapse
Pardon if I'm completely out to lunch, but did the option to import and create a time lapse from image sequence get lost in the new import workflow launch? Doesn't seem to be much clear documentation on that front since the switch-over to the new layout in 22.4.x.
I could technically and jankily import to sequence 1-frame-duration images, but in the interest of maintaining sanity...
Either it's a I'm-missing-something-obvious issue, a feature-got-lost-in-the-mix issue or a documentation issue. Possibly all three.
Thanks!
(Currently PP2022 22.4.0 Build 57 on PC/Win10 64-bit)

Fix uploading / dragging video to timeline bug in Premiere
Bug: Many of us can't upload or drag video to Premiere. The audio comes in fine, but the video doesn't show up on the timeline. There are workarounds for this, but it seems to be a bug.

Allow direct import of Pixel MP4 video files to Premiere Pro
This is very important to me. Or at least provide detailed instructions on how to import MP4 files from Android phones!

AAF-imported ProRes .MOV files don't work, but AAF-imported ProRes .MXF files do?
I'm starting a new thread for an issue that originally started here:
The original post (the title of which I can no longer edit, hence my opening this new thread) outlined an issue that I thought was a general Apple Silicon AAF import problem. But as I dig deeper with troubleshooting the issue, I figured out that the actual problem is that only ProRes .MOV files don't work when imported into Premiere via AAF on Apple Silicon machines. ProRes MXF files, however, import fine via AAF.
Again, this is a showstopping bug. We simply can't use Premiere on our…

Displaying timecode in Media Browser Thumbnail View and Import Grid View
When in Media Browser Thumbnail View, Timecode should be displayed along with duration....or.....allow larger thumbnail images in List View, which does display Timecode.
Same for Import

Auto copy assets to project folder
Hi,
For my projects, I still use a rigorous approach in copying all assets to a designated project folder before they are imported into a PPro project. This way, I prevent any assets from getting lost in the process, because they originated from temporary drives, download folders or other drives on your system beyond the project drive.
However, things would get a lot easier if PPro offered the possibility that anything that gets added to the project bin via drag & drop or the import feature, actually get copied over to the folder, perhaps as a background process. Meanwhile copying…

Allow direct import of Pixel MP4 video files to Premiere Pro
Allow direct import of Android Phone MP4 video to Premiere Pro. I need the sophisticated video and audio capabilities of Premiere to complete a Google Pixel originated project

I love the new import section, however...
There appears to be certain video files that don't show when using the new import page. In particular I couldn't see or preview .MOV files from my Mavic 3. I had to remember to import them separately afterwards using the original method of dragging into the project bin.
Screenshots show what I was able to preview on import from a specific folder as well as what was actually in the folder on Finder.
I hope what I'm saying makes sense.
Thanks!

Thanks for reporting this! Does this problem happen if the folder you're viewing only has video files in it? Related, in the import window, try clicking on "Directory viewers" - to the left of the search field - and clicking on the Files option.

Way to import Frame.io comments into Premiere
Frame.io is great, however using it for the first time on a commercial I think I've found a glaring issue...
Shoot in the US, edit in London. Director spends his entire flight from NY on Frame.io adding comments to the rushes: favourite takes etc.
Great I think, I've already imported the footage, I'll look for the 'import comments button' and when he gets here I'll have everything ready.
But no... nothing!
Turns out Frame.io can only syncronize comments from a sequence, not clips!
Now, I realise it's possible to view comments in the Frame.io panel, and that might be fine…
2 votesIf you import the clips from Frame after the comments have been added you will get the clip markers. But that not exactly the workflow you are describing. You want to keep clip markers in sync with Frame.io comments so that you can turn Frame.io comments into clip markers AFTER the file has already been imported into Premiere Pro - right? This a great point and something we will definitely be looking into.

New Import Tab Issues and Suggestions
Hi team.
Just jumping in on the wave of issues in the new update and starting this thread to hopefully and constructively focus on the import tab.
But before that - Appreciate all the hard work and definitely don't condone hate speech, death threats etc...Now given y’all don’t seem too keen to revert to the old ways - here are some issues and possible suggestions
Issue: Can’t create a sequence first and then add media.
Reasoning: I guess a lot of pros/orgs already do some media management first on larger projects and quite often the sequence settings is different…
2 votesThank you, Matthew. This is some very reasonable and actionable feedback. We will definitely look into this. Please see my comments in the thread for my specific response.

La nueva ventana de importación desconoce si el footage esta en diferentes carpetas.
Debería ser opcional importarlo así o en las carpetas que el usuario estableció para distinguir el material.

Attach proxies automatically does not work in V22
Attach proxies automatically does not work in V22. I just upgraded now this feature does not work. It only links the one file at the top of the list. I have MEDIA START checked. This has always worked. I tested it on the older version and I am correct. So this is a bug with the new version.

Import a corrected script as text file or doc for subtitles / captions
Import a corrected script as text file or word doc to be used for subtitles / captions. Sensei speech-to-text could then sync the already accurate text file or word document to match the narration in the sequence. Sensei is good but not 100% accurate, so when the corrected text is already available; it would greatly improve the production workflow.
