  1. P. Pro not using correct graphics card

Myself and others have found that P. Pro is not using the correct graphics card when exporting. I understand that not all export material is exported using the graphics card, and that exporting is a highly CPU entistive process, but we have found that the program will use the integrated graphics. Even the P. Pro GPUSniffer lists the dedicated graphics card first in the command prompt, but the integrated graphics is still used. More information and troubleshooting steps that have been talked can be found in the following forum/link.

    • better use of GPU for more effects

Many sequences don't need anything off the GPU Accelerated Effects list, so the GPU just sits there unused while the CPU is chugging away.

Please add things to the workload of the GPU so that the CPU doesn't carry the load if GPU resources are available.

      • Premiere Pro not using Nvidia GPU for rendering

My laptop has an Intel integrated GPU and a Nvidia Gtx960M GPU, however premiere pro will only use the Intel GPU for rendering, even if I have set the renderer to be CUDA and forced premiere to use the Nvidia GPU in Nvidia settings.

        • ability to choose graphic card

us that need to work on the road and have the newer laptops with dual GPU's are currently grossly set back as Premiere prioritizes the internal Intel graphic card, instead of the Nvdia card that is also present in the laptop.
It's a widespread problem (few google searches proofs that) and it would be nice to have it fixed. especially as it's a trend with a dGPU.
          thanks in advance.

          • Premiere Pro not using Dedicated GPU.

Premiere Pro is not using my Dedicated Graphics card: GTX 1080 6GB. It is using the CPU and my internal GPU, even if I set all the settings to use the GTX and add the card to cuda_supported_cards.txt.

            • eGPU support

It looks like playback with effects turned on does not really offload much of the processing power to my eGPU. I'd imagine this is frustrating for most laptop users who have an eGPU at home they plug into. Please allow the offloading of graphics processing to the eGPU. Thanks!

              • Nvidia GTX 1050 CUDA issue

Having a lots of CUDA playback issues (CUDA playback dropping off, black screen after few minutes) with Dell XPS 15 9750 with Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti. I got it to work reliably with and older GeForce driver (397.93) which I can no longer install because Win 10 64 automatic updates. The newer GeForce drivers 416.34 and 416.81 (compatible with Win 10 64 Built 17134) have CUDA playback issues with laster version of Premiere Pro CC (Version 13.0.1 (built 13). You can revert your project to Open CL mode which works reliably but much slower export/playback. Really frustrating with a new…

                    • Bug: Unable to engage GPU acceleration with AMD Radeon Vega 64 GPU

When selecting options for playback and rendering in settings, Premiere/Media Encoder do not recognize the Vega 64 as an option for Open CL GPU accelerated rendering; forcing me to use the Mercury Playback Software in the application. (Drop-down menu is grayed out)
All software, firmware, drivers, and the BIOS build have been updated to the most current versions. Projects have crashed on export/rendering even on minimal intensity export settings. Is there a solution for GPU detection in Adobe software or perhaps an alternative way to engage the GPU as the primary rendering system for Adobe applications?

                        • Enable NVIDIA hardware decoding for smooth playback

                          Hey !
Do you track what your competitors do?
Install Davinchi Resolve studio 15 and just see how it play H264 files.
Just smooth and without any proxy even at multicam sequences.
And all this with a discrete NVIDIA card of the middle price range
Just tell me - you will do it in the next 50 years ?
I hope that I will be in time then for you to rejoice.

                          • External GPU support

macOS 10.13.4 High Sierra brought native support for Radeon eGPUs. However, there is not OpenGL support in Premiere Pro 2018 and Metal Support is very slow. It would be great to use Nvidia Cards for CUDA but, Mac does not support those cards.

                            • Add Discrette GPU Decoding and Encoding

                              Dear Adobe team !
The most important in video editing software is perfomance and speed.
I think if You add discrete NVIDIA hardware accelerated decoding of h264 and h265 files, it will really improve the playback in PP.
Also if You add NVENC support for encode h264 - h265 it will really speed up the render procedure.
This what is done by Your competitors and this is one of the most big reasons why editors swith to Davinci Resolve etc.
I think this is time to do it.
I know that you working hard tgo bring a new functionality to…

                                • Premiere 13.0.1 Lumetri GPU Bug (Windows + Mac)

There is a GPU glitch on Windows & Mac while using Lumetri with the latest version that is extremely annoying.

You cannot color correct anything unless turning off CUDA acceleration.
It seems to affect many people as well.

To illustrate the problem I've captured it on video:
                                  https://vimeo.com/300699996

                                  My system specs:
                                  Windows 10 Build 1083
                                  Intel i9 7960X CPU

                                  Premiere 13.0.1

                                  Things I've tried:
                                  Reinstall everything
                                  Install the latest NVIDIA drivers
Rollback to official supported drivers (411.63) with CUDA 9.2 for 13.0.1
                                  Clear Premiere settings & Cache
The only thing that worked is to change…

                                  • 1080p > 4K sequence Drastically improves GPU playback!?!

                                    BUG:
Slow timeline playback (Non-optimised GPU Mercury playback)

                                    SOLUTION:
Converting 1080p sequence to 4k sequence (in project setting)
drastically improves playback of 1080p files!?!?! (and applying "Scale to Frame Size")

I suspect that Mercury GPU is badly optimised, and once i up-res the sequence setting to 4k, the GPU is better optimised.

Playback performance drastically improve (but playing reverse speed is still not smooth)

                                    Hardware:
                                    Asus GL502VS
                                    i7-6700HQ
                                    Nvidia 1070

                                    • Please Add Back Support for 2GB Ram GPU's.

I have a 1050 2Gb in my editing laptop that can no longer utilize the GPU, this is Bottlenecking my workflow.

                                      • Premiere must recover properly following display driver crash and recovery

My display driver crashes but then instantly recovers. This probably happens more than it should and probably because I am a Windows Insider running the future version of Windows 10. The rest of the system recovers from this except for Premiere that now doesn't render the "monitor" and "program" outputs.

Yes, the display driver should not crash; however, Premiere should handle such a case and recover when the driver recovers, especially now that we have hot-pluggable display adapters.

                                        • Better Utilization for GPUs using SLI and Multi-thread processors.

Adobe should allow for better use of GPUs using SLI in Premier Pro and AE. Multi-thread processors are not going away and Adobe should allow their users to utilize them with their programs.
