  2. Multiple Aspect Ratios in one video

    Hello there!
I would really like to be able to have multiple aspect ratios in one video, for example, the first part of my video is in 16:9 and the second in 4:3, it would be a new mode in the projects aspect ratio menu called fluid ratio or changeable ratio or something like that where the aspect raion isn't fixed but changes every time it detects different aspect ratio of the videos imported. I know some famous directors like Christopher Nolan are using this so why not make it a normal thing. It would make our life that much…

  3. FFV1 Support

    Hi,

I am hoping for FFV1 support in Adobe Premiere and AE. FFV1 is nationally recommended file format for long term preservation here in Finland (See more info: http://digitalpreservation.fi/files/File-Formats-1.7.0-en.pdf)

  4. Render and replace option for time remapping

When rendering and replacing and 2020, time remapping is not correctly baked in, and the underlying media rendered becomes incorrect. It would be helpful to have the ability to correctly render these using render and replace.

  5. Bring back support for Avid 1:1 codec

Please bring back support for the old Avid 1:1 codec (standard definition) for Premiere and Media Encoder. The Quicktime files with this codec used to be able to be imported years ago, but seemed to have lost support maybe about 4-5 years ago. My workplace could still use this support for our older videos. Avid Media Composer doesn't seem to have a good alternative export option for lossless SD format that I can see. So still stuck with Avid 1:1 for these videos. Yeah, Avid sucks. Thank you.

  7. Sequence setting for iPhone Live Photos

Apple's Iphone Live Photos (specifically, the .mov files) do not import correctly, and there doesn't seem to be an existing preset for them. They look squashed. The format should import with a 4:3 ratio, but the frames come in with a black border at top and bottom. One must manually expand the vertical scale to 133.33 percent (or shrink the horizontal to 75 percent) to get the images to look right. I suspect premiere is misreading the actual pixel aspect ratio. Please address this.

Hello, New Sigma FP camera is launched and it records in Cinema DNG Format, it would be nice if we can import these files and edit it natively, as these cameras are designed for independent filmmakers , the whole idea is to get a project done with lil resources and less heads involved. would really want u to consider and get these files be able to import and edit natively.

Using captions to subtitle a feature film. Am making corrections to the captions, though the corrections appear in the list of captions correctly, the old incorrect caption keeps appearing on screen. I have deleted all preview files and render files for the project and tried it both Premiere 14.0.1 and 13.1.5. I am using the Open Captions format for the captions.BTW: I am using a Mac OSX 10.14.6

  11. Adobe Rush Format For Collaboration That Retains Edits/Transitions/Changes

Rush files that can be shared that include transitions and edits stored within the file. Rush is much easier to use than Premiere Pro, however there is 0 collaboration because I cannot share a RAW Rush file for someone else to tweak edits, transactions, audio, titles, ETC.

I think this would be very beneficial, especially in a school setting getting students comfortable with RUSH and certain terminologies before introducing them to Premiere Pro

  13. VR180 (Stereoscopic Left/Right) Ambisonic Presets Please!

Premiere has fantastic support for VR 360 Monoscopic and VR 360 Over-Under, but has completely neglected VR180. Please add VR180 presets in both the exporter and sequence creation tools

VR180 is a growing market sector!

  14. Proxy Dimensions in Dialog Box

So, we've finally had to move up to CC2020 (14.0.4), and proxy ingest names have been changed. You no longer have dimensions visible right there in the dialog box, but instead you're given options of Low, Medium, and High resolution.

Initially I thought that Adobe had finally implemented a change we've been asking for, where proxies are based off of the source media dimensions (say half res, third, quarter, etc), but no. It appears as though they're still sticking to specific dimensions (1280x720, 1024x540, etc), but they've just gotten rid of a quick and easy way to spot this by…

  16. Restore .dv file support

Please restore the use of .dv files in Premiere. The last version of Premiere that supported them was Premiere CC 2017. Since I updated to Premiere CC 2018/2019, my projects will open but all the .dv files inside a project cannot be viewed and have the "media offline" overlay on them. This has crippled a workflow I have been using for years in Premiere.

  17. Support for .DV footage - a MUST for Documentary Editing

I have a $150,000 feature length documentary that I can't edit now because Adobe dropped support for DV footage. I can't even use Media Encoder to convert the thousands of videos files into a format currently supported because Media Encoder doesn't recognize .DV files. This is a big issue guys. Please help.

  18. XDCAM EX file playback bug

I have many quicktime files from GettyImages that are encoded in XDCam EX format 1440x1080 23.98fps. these no longer import and say that the format is unsupported on the latest versions of premiere/media encoder on either MacOS or Windows 10. it was suggested to me to encode using Handbrake but i am already transcoding to ProRes so don't want a third party making another file. These files all worked a number of versions back as i used them in another project but now they don't work or import! why has adobe drop the support for these files.
