  1. Bring back multichannel H264

With the MOV H264 codec you use to be able to do multichannel exports with any number of mono tracks. Now that you got rid of that, there's no way to make lo quality proxies with multichannels. I mean you have the H264 in and MP4 but you can only export mono, stereo. or 5.1. Why can't you just let the user choose the audio configuration. I would like to have a full stereo mix and an M&E stereo mix on a proxy. The audio config options for the H264 MP4 codec are really limiting.

We understand the frustration. The OS level support for these codecs is gone.

Rather than create support for older formats, Premiere Pro will continue to invest in support for popular modern formats.

  2. CHANGE the menu item named "final cut pro xml"

Since when is an XML ONLY necessary for "Final Cut Pro".

it's the only way to import projects created in newer versions of PPro into older versions, guys n gals!

SO, I hearby respectfully request that future versions of PPro do away with this spurious and misleading nomenclature.

Just call it "XML Export" fer chrissakes.

    Happy New Year.

  3. Render Farming

Pretty simple: connect multiple computers together to simultaneously render projects. This would be similar to AME watch folders, except it utilizes multiple computers to increase rendering speed.

This feature would GREATLY improve many workflows!

We’ve looked into it. While it would increase render performance of some formats (particularly still image sequences), the gains are quickly eliminated by the time required to stitch together the constituent resulting rendered materials, into a unified file.

  5. Command-line tools for multi-processing render (RenderGarden)

Use the same type of command-line tool used in After Effects called aerender.exe... But for Premiere.
We would save us a huge load of time.

  6. Put DVD support back into it.

I figure that at $40 an hour you owe me about $640 for time wasted trying to figure out how to burn to DVD. Premiere Pro is priced like a professional product. It needs to act like one.

  7. Network Cluster Rendering

Allow networked cluster rendering, such as what is provided with various encoding software for cinema (See DCP-O-Matic network render server). This would allow much faster encoding. It may be difficult to get this to work with interframe compression, though. Basicly, export the frame, transfer it, transcode it, and send it back. Or, alternatively, automatically split the sequence into small clips (from keyframe to keyframe) (similar to Youtube's DASH), and render them over the network, assembling them as they stream back in.

  8. Support for 3rd party codecs such as HAP

Quicktime 7 is still great you know.
