MOGRTs support blending modes set inside AE when creating them
I have created a style look in AE that uses blending modes on solid layers with generators. They look great in there when I add a clip under the design and use pass through in the layer settings. However when I export them as a MOGRT they break when trying to use them inside of Premiere because Premiere does not support using the blending modes set inside of the AE project. This is a big snag because now the only solution I can find is to recreate the look in Premiere and save it as a project so that our…

Its now possible to add videos to the Mogrt from within PR so that any of your effects and blend modes will be applied to the video you feed the Mogrt. Find more info here: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/premiere-pro/using/replace-images-videos-motion-graphics.html

Bug: AE mogrt with responsive design time does not work as expected in PPro.
I am using AE 17.1.1, and PPro 14.3.0 build 38, Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.18362 buld 18362. I created a mogrt in AE with a protected area on the beginning and ending of the mogrt. In Premiere Pro, when I used the selection tool, the mogrt would not lengthen, and if shortened, the ending protected area is chopped off. Note that the "reset duration" item on the "graphics" menu is greyed out.
1 voteThanks to great information from users, we were able to nab what appeared to be the true root of the issue, a problem with the timing getting wiped from the project if no explicit interaction had been made with the timeline (like muting or unmuting a track).
If you head over to the Creative Cloud Desktop App and navigate to the Beta Apps section, you can download the Beta version of Premiere Pro (any version after 14.6 × 46) and the fix should be in!
Please let me know if the issues still occur for you, though. We want to put this one away for good, and are hopeful this time. Those zombie bugs are wild though!
The Reset Duration option is still available if needed as well.
Cheers,

edit Master Styles for text AFTER they have been created.
Create editable Master Styles for text AFTER they have been created.
This way, you can change your mind about a title or subtitle after the fact, change the style, and it will reflect everywhere that style is used.

Motion graphic template's outro animation stops working after reloading project
As a motion design template I use an after effects composition with responsive design segments - intro and outro. When I reload the project in Premiere Pro,the outro animation disappears and my motion graphic ends with a regular cut. This problem exists since the beginning of Motion Graphic template's functionality.
Also, this problem appears when I cut a template's clip into two pieces - each piece doesn't have a new outro/intro, but it starts/ends with a regular cut. Once I loose an intro/outro segment, there is no way to get it back, other than dropping a new template on a…
1 voteHi David,
I’m thrilled to finally be able to announce that the Premiere Pro v. 14.0.1 has new functionality to help resolve issues that happen when the retiming of a Responsive Time Mogrt gets out of whack.
We’ve added a new function called “Reset Duration” in the Graphics top bar menu, which will use the length of the track item in the timeline as the single source of truth for how long the Mogrt should be retimed to. So if anything ends too early all you have to do is select the Mogrt in the timeline, use the Reset Duration command in the top bar Graphics menu, and voila!
This will also work with multiple selections at a time.
No more manual re-trimming or redundant work.
And will work when you slice a Responsive Time Mogrt in half. Both halves will become whole when using Reset Duration. The primary source…

Mogrts with protected regions created in AE are sometimes "cut off" when changed in PrPro
I have mogrts in FHD 25fps in AE and the sequence in Prpro is also FHD 25fps. Hmm.
Ok, so what happens is that when I apply them in the sequence they always seem fine. The ins and outs works like a charm. But, (and here's the kicker) when I change the duration of the mograph, sometimes the in OR out (it's different) aren't respected and the mograph "cuts off without the animation. And sometimes, when I change the duration of tha mograph by draging it, the animation starts or stops somewhere towards the middle of the mograph (not at…3 votesUpdate to the Update!

Responsive Design - Time is still not 100% accurate
The Reset Duration saved our team from the ongoing timing issue.
However, when I stretch the mogrt in the sequence, the protective region gets stretched a little bit. It's more noticeable when I stretch it more than 1000%. It's a problem when I need to add more than one template with different durations.
For now, the only way to fix it is by Reset Duration.
The fact that I have to hit Reset Duration over and over when the timing gets changed is annoying, and also our team is not allowed to update Premiere Pro to CC 2020 yet which…1 voteThanks to great information from users, we were able to nab what appeared to be the true root of the issue, a problem with the timing getting wiped from the project if no explicit interaction had been made with the timeline (like muting or unmuting a track).

legacy title bug
Legacy Tile HUGE BUGS
None of the title tools, preferences or any other windows are able to be docked to the legacy title any longer after the latest update. FIX ASAP23 votesResolved ·AdminAnnika Koenig (Premiere Pro, Motion Graphics) (Software Quality Engineer, Adobe DVA) responded
we had a bug in 13.0 where all the different panes of the Legacy Titler where no longer in one window. This was resolved with 13.0.2.
Please consider moving over to an Essential Graphics workflow as we are planning to retire the Legacy Titler. For more info on how to upgrade your Legacy Titles, please visit this document: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/upgrade-legacy-titles.html -
BUG: ProRes wrong colors in MOGRTs
When importing MOGRTS that use ProRes encoded Assets, the Assets look washed out (brighter) than they are supposed to. Importing the ProRes file directly in Premiere does not lead to this problem.
This breaks some MOGRTS of mine, some of them actively selling on Adobe Stock so this is a big inconvenience for Adobe Stock customers and should be fixed soon.

Edit text in Essential Graphics panel
Would be great If I could just double click on the text in the "Essential Graphics" panel and change the text there instead of trying to select it in the Program Monitor.
If the text is really small or have like 10% opacity it takes a lot of extra time, trying to zoom in the Program Monitor, change to the type tool and then select the text.
(Also, sometimes I accidentally move it in the Program Monitor when trying to select it.)
17 votesAs of PrPro CC 2020 (14.0), you can double click on a Text Layer in the EGP and the whole string will become text-editable in the Program Mon (PM). So you can just type new characters in that way without having to locate your text in the PM.
Also, there is a keyboard shortcut. Press Opt + Cmd + ’ (mac) or Ctrl + Alt + ’ (win) and your selected text layer will become highlighted for edit.
Finally, for shapes and clip layers, you can now click on the layer name in the EGP Layers pane and edit the name inline there.
This may not be exactly the feature you had in mind, but as you can see, there are some good new options for changing source text and layer names from right inside the EGP.

Subtitle Tool/Track
I believe that DaVinci Resolve now has a Subtitle Track
It'd be brilliant if Premiere did this, so that if you adjusted the size, font or position of the subtitle track parameters it implemented the change across all text on the subtitle track.
You could also add styles to the subtitles too, such as drop shadows or boxes with Opacity settings across the board

There is font sync error in the News Intro. I cannot edit the text layer in this preset for size.
Please address the font sync errors. I cannot resize the font or change it within the News presets from Essential Graphics.
2 votesThis should be fixed as of Ae 16.1 / Pr 13.1 versions.
