Nested Audio Waveforms Incorrect
In both Premiere 2019 and 2020 waveforms of rendered audio from a nested clip are offset incorrectly in the timeline.
Sometimes they will display correctly immediately after an audio render, but after the first edit (trim, ripple, etc) the waveform is completely wrong. It appears to generated correctly but be offset by a significant amount when displayed.
This makes it impossible to use waveforms on Multicam or Nested clips if I've applied effects/gain to the audio in the nest, therefore requiring rendering.
This was working at the beginning of 2019. I'm not sure when exactly it went wrong. Thanks for…

Major Bug in Audio Auto Ducking!
I use the auto ducking function all over my edits. Since PP 2020 it has a huge bug and does not work as it should anymore!
The function sets the keyframes correctly and if i play through the complete audio file and the playhead crosses the keyframes they work as they should. But if I start playback in the middle of an audio file and the playhead does not cross the keyframe it acts like there is no keyframe and does not change the volume as it should. Check the attached video for further explanation and watch the audio levels…

Integrate with Amper Music API
There's this amazing AI music generator called AMPER that you can use online - it sounds really really good - but it would be so cool if it was baked into Premiere. Just like you can get stock videos and music in premiere from Adobe stock, I would love to see basically autogenerated AI music through the premiere interface.
1 voteGreat idea…which Amper implemented a while ago! :)

Fix the Default audio output for iMac Pro
On my previous iMac and my current MacBook Pro the audio in Premiere and After Effects would switch to headphones when headphones were plugged in and switch back to the speakers when I unplugged, all without having to go up to Audio Hardware in preferences and switching.
Now, on the iMac Pro that is not the case. Each time I plug in headphones, the timeline stops playing and i have to go up to preferences and audio hardware and select external headphones or iMac Pro speakers if I'm unplugging them.
I was on the phone with Apple about this as…
561 votesI’m happy to let everyone know that today’s Premiere Pro update enables automatic audio device switching on MacOS. Choose the “System Default” sound device under Audio Hardware preferences and Premiere will automatically use whichever audio device MacOS is using.

Premiere is not linking to Audition
Attempting to edit sequence from Premiere in Audition leaves you with a blank page in Audition. This must be a glitch and needs to be addressed!
1 voteThis is fixed in Premiere Pro 2020 (14.0.3) and Audition 2020 (13.0.3). They are now available via the Creative Cloud Application.

Bug - Audio effect settings being reset when duplicating sequence
When duplicating a sequence, some of my audio effects settings, typically my compressor (usually this is a single-band compressor), has its settings reset.
This is EXTREMELY frustrating, especially when other editors need to jump into a project, and suddenly the sound is messed up.
- Set up a compressor on your Bus Track.
- Adjust settings of compressor to suit audio
- Duplicate sequence
- Marvel as all of your settings are intermittently reset

Waveforms not showing up
Waveforms disappearing at different zoom levels or not showing up at all. This has been an issue for countless versions now. Please figure it out!

Audio effect settings STILL being reset when sequence is duplicated (12.1/12.1.1/12.1.2)
I'm posting another version of this bug, because why not continue to throw this at the wall until hopefully someone from Adobe acknowledges it, and gives us some indication of when we might expect it to be fixed?
This one is well-overdue!
1) Setup some audio effects (compressors are especially susceptible to the bug)
2) Duplicate your sequence.
3) Marvel as all of your effect settings are reset. This only started with the abomination that was 12.1, and has now continued on through to 12.1.2.
OS X 10.13.5
iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, Late 2014)
32GB RAM
AMD Radeon R9 4096…21 votesFixed in PPro 13.0.2.

12.1.2 still has dynamics bug / audio glitch
As detailed for previous versions:
Relates to using submixes / multichannel sequences & dynamics/de-esser/compressors fed from tracks without audio.
Audio glitches/noise appear mainly on A3&4 and A7&8 on an 8 channel sequence. They are present on an export from PP but not apparent on an export queued via AME
Reliably recreated in fresh 2018.1.2 project -
Create sequence from DNX SQ preset - change last track to be mono submix
Add Color matt about 2:00 so seq will play silent tracks
Add small amount of bars & tone at top of seq
Use send bus to send track 1 to…

Bug: Strange digital noise caused by Dynamics (PPro 12.0.1 & Mac OS X)
I'm running a Premiere Pro 12.0.1 on Mac OS X El Capitan and have noticed some strange behaviour when using Dynamics. If I apply Dynamics on the track it processes the audio, but also adds some weird digital noise (at range of -48 to -32 dBFS) when there is no audio clip on the track. Noise appears also when exporting. Bypassing Dynamics also removes the noise from the track.

Track Fx Dynamics generates feedback loop when no audio is fed through it
If one plug a Dynamics Track Fx to a track where no audio is present, ie. -∞ is fed through it, it starts generating a weird feedback-like sound. Seems to be a programming bug. I'm on 12.1.0 build 186, and I plugged Dynamics on my Master track Fx rack.
