The new update is horrible
This new Import/Edit/Export set up that came with the newest update is awful. It clumsy, cumbersome, convoluted, and unnecessarily complicated. I understand how it works top to bottom and I can confidently say this is the worst update Premiere has ever received. Before this update, everything was accessible and streamlined (especially when creating a project or exporting a video), now I have to click a bunch of tabs and buttons to get it do something that was previously accomplished with a few key strokes. I keep seeing in past similar comments that Adobe did this because their research said it was a smart move. Who did you research? A bunch of 17 year olds trying to get Tik Tok famous? Because if so that makes sense, with this new update you could technically just hit "export" and it will magically export a pretty solid looking video, but for real editors cutting real projects the accessibility and ease that came with the original version was far superior (remember when this was the software used to cut Deadpool). You know what other software did a massive update to appeal to general public (aka 17 year old wannabe Tik Tokers): Final Cut 7. As an editor who works professionally in the industry, I can confidently say that NO ONE uses Final Cut any more after their "it's for everyone now" update (I used to be a big Final Cut guy, but after X I switched fully to Premier). Pretty soon Avid is going to be the only editing application left for professionals. Worst of all, the fact that I have to jump through a bunch of hoops now to select where all of the Premier files (auto-save, render files, etc) for any given project are located is insulting. I keep trying to switch back to the previous version, but it's almost like Adobe won't let me (the process keeps failing during the uninstall phase). Also, I'm not going to start using Media Encoder, because that app. has always been mostly useless and I'm not going to start using it now. Everyone hates this update, so instead of all of us trying to find work arounds to counter this new awful workflow, maybe it should just be fixed?

Just a tip for you on how to ask for fixes. You need to include details on precisely what you want to be changed and how you would like it to work. That would help. Adobe never has "changed the UI back to the way it was." Good luck.
