Essential Graphics: Allow media files already in the timeline or premiere pro bin to be loaded into media placeholders for slideshows.
Your slideshow templates require me to load media files into placeholders from sources outside the program. This would be way simpler and easier to use for my purposes, if I could just trim out the clips I want, and drag them from my timeline into the graphic. As of now it seems I must trim the clips I want, render each one, THEN reimport it into the graphic. It's a lot of unnecessary work for something you were seeking to simplify by providing it all within premiere pro to begin with.

Hi Robert,
You have a couple of options to replace media in Media Replacement templates. You can drop media in from the Project Panel directly over the Media Replacement control in the Essential Graphics Panel. Then you can double-click the thumbnail which will open a hidden sequence where you can edit the clip as you wish, add effects, or change transform settings.
Another option you have is to set the In / Out points for the clip in the Source Monitor and drag it directly into the Media Replacement Control from there.
Hope this helps,
Dacia
