Caption editing - edit mode when paused
It is super frustrating when editing a long video of captions for the default tool to keep reverting back to the selection tool, instead of the text tool, and to have to double-click either the caption in the Text panel or program window.
The dream: When in the Captions workspace, it would be great to be able to pause and play the video, and when I pause, the cursor is sitting in the edit box ready to make changes (with text NOT highlighted, to prevent deleting the whole caption). I used SubtitleEdit on Windows and it is a dream workflow, but it isn't available on Mac, so I'm stuck with doing it all in Premiere for the moment. Having to double click hundreds of times to do a task increasingly required for accessibility is really, REALLY frustrating and very slow.

Hi Daniel, a workaround for you could be to use keyboard shortcuts instead of mouse click to toggle the edit mode of the caption text you want to correct. Go to the keyboard settings and look for the "Edit selected caption text" command
