Get rid of the AWFUL new interface that came with the recent update... [Import]
The interface completely changed when opening and exporting, and my team HATES it and we cannot find out how to change it back. Please change it back or allow us to opt out of using it. It's unsightly and frankly looks unprofessional. Maybe that was the motivation, but as professionals, we hate it.

Jesus. It takes money out of my pocket. People around me think that I'm not even able to start a project.... It makes me look and feel stupid. Remove this **** immediately!!!!!
It's bad and slow. At this point I lost 10 minutes because I still wait for this piece of garbage to react to my clics. Why would you make your own software worse and unusable? I cannot understand, but at least you get my money every month. I guess people should use DaVinci for free.

This is terrible, the new file creation system is so incredibly frustrating. I can't believe they added this "feature" it's awful. Remove it, burn it, and throw it in the garbage. It's god awful.

No fan, horrible. Detailed export options all gone? I like the look of fresh-looking things, but not if it's changing functionality and workflow–how dare you! Did you survey your paying users by chance? I'll have to start using another solution, as Premiere has ruined the experience. Exporting an mp4 won't hold the matched video size, it goes ahead and changes my video size, wtf! Adobe has been making horrible changes lately, even photoshop has more issues for the sake of looks. I've been with Adobe for decades but there are other options out there. Stupid ideas like this are exactly what help those platforms.

Stop. Just stop! Stop making massive dramatice changes, to dummy down an interafce that worked in the past. Plese. Just STOP.
Where is the brightest colour for the interface. Dark colours for intercae put starin on eyes. How do I get a white interface. The new project window has got to go.
And, for one and last, STOP making applications that shovel the Adobe "sell, sell, sell" motto product down our throats. Our companies, our the user pays for using the products. It is not for selling swap land to all users.
Put one button in, for Advanced, and one for Beginner.

I really hate this - why make starting a new project harder? I just want to be able to start a new project without all the hassle.
Can't get my headphones to work with it either, but they'll work with Audition and DaVinci.
Every time I edit on Premiere Pro I hate it a little more.

adds needless minutes to every project, confuses the **** out of me when I need to be thinking about the work - not the tools. Adds absolutely nothing to the functionality of premiere, whoever designed this and whoever approved it should be shown the door. Please revert

You can skip that nonsense altogether by creating different project presets with Post Haste (a HUGE time saver everyone should use, and it's free). I've never used the new import page once since I never start with a blank project, so my projects open on the Edit page, with all of my favourite Bins and media already populating the Project window.

You don't need to import anything. Name the project and click Create button. Done.

Adobe, please remove the new file creation interface or make the new file creation optional.

I’m not quite sure what the though process was with some of these new UI element. Specifically the “IMPORT’, “EDIT”, & “EXPORT” windows. These are infuriating. They server no purpose.
Starting a new file use to just start. From there the user could attack the project in whatever way they wanted. This IMPORT page doesn’t allow the use to move forward without predefining a project name, and using a dropdown setting that is WEAK in comparison to the operating systems basking file saving explorer window. SOOO MANY CLICKS! Why?
So many GIGANITC folder icons. Why?
All of this is useless. CTRL “N” and CTRL “I” did all of this in 2 shortcut clicks.
You can fix this by simply allowing the user to skip this page and go right to the EDIT page. This would allow us to skip past this useless page, and allow anyone who does see value in it to keep using it. But as it stand it’s EXTREEMLY FRUSTING to use this, and it the first thing you have to do when opening the software. -

I upgraded to the new UI and somehow ended up in the import tab. I have no idea how it works; I accidentally started importing an entire hard drive. It's understandable they want to make stuff easier for new users, but this is really not intuitive. (We're all new to this interface)
For this comment I wanted to test it out again, so I could give some constructive criticism, but it crashed Premiere Pro when I accidentally selected a folder with tens of thousands of frames in it.
I would consider using this if it was updated to be less clunky, a single click on a folder didn't start counting all the files and crash Premiere Pro and if it has the option for watch folders, so I can import my SFX folder into a bin and just access all the existing files and newly added files straight away. Maybe it does, I don't know, because I can't actually use it lol
The UX/UI designers should look at Blender, they completely revamped their UI around update 2.8, and it was a great update, it actually made Blender more relevant and useable. It didn't hide critical functionality or add clunky stuff for new users, it just made the stuff that was already there more visible, logical and easy to access.
Nobody needs 6 ways of importing stuff, just a good way that works reliably, quickly and with easy access to all functionality. The new additions either do not work reliably or hide functionality. When learning a new software, the most annoying part is always finding out how to change a setting, especially if it's an obscure one. The more you make it visible and clear, the easier it will be to learn and use.

Yes, I'm sorry its the most terrible import screen, why was this change even made, what was wrong with the previous import workflow... now with this new thing I don't even know how to create a folder... and the random locations it's opening in, just a mess all around.

The new project window does not work with my work flow. Just add a SKIP button or something to avoid having to deal with this screen.

I just had to log in to say how horrible the new version was... I also downgraded to 22.2. the new one was laggy, poorly made, difficulty to use and UGLY! Atleast we can roll back.

Yep, it's terrible. All I want is a blank project where I drag in what I want myself, not this nannying rubbish aimed at 12 year olds creating videos for Tik Tok.
Yet another example of Adobe dumbing down their software and showing utter contempt for their long term customers.
No doubt they'll claim the new import screen is what users want without providing any evidence of this.

The new import screen has some issues.
This is what I've found. Hoping others add in any other thoughts:- Selecting files for Import in the main window causes huge performance deficit, especially when trying to navigate through folders
- Shouldn't 'Import Settings' on the right hand side have an Ingest option, including Ingest presets etc?
