Bug when exporting OMF or AAF when Music Remix is on a track
With Premiere v22, if you have a track with Music Remix; Exporting an OMF results in a zero kb OMF and exporting as AAF results in a hard crash. "serious error".

I cannot export aaf, it just freezes in exporting window, after that premiere crashes. No remix tool used.

Nesting the audio clip worked!

You can use Render and Replace on audio clips, but it also sometimes works, sometimes not. If you render and replace and still can't export aaf you have to manually match frame each clip and drop it back on timeline from source monitor. It's ridiculous.

OMF Export results in a zero kilobyte OMF file if a music track on my timeline has been remixed.
I tried "render and replace" and removing the Essential Sound Audio Type but could only export an OMF without error by deleting the remixed audio (strangely this remained an issue with the rendered file with no Audio Type on the timeline).
PS. I love this feature and not having to do a round-trip to Audition to extend the music. It caught me out when it came time to send offsite for a final audio mix and I had no idea what the issue was until now.

There seems to be issues with the Remix tool effecting more than just this. If a remixed track is on the timeline, using Transcription in the Text Window crashes the entire app. Remixed file deleted from the timeline leads to successful transcription.

Ran into the same issue just now. Why hasn't this been fixed since April? The remix tool is wonderful but only if not collaborating with a sound designer. I'm going to try nesting the remixed audio tracks and see if that helps, as Gary Hornstein suggested. Will update this thread once I send the OMF to sound designer, to find out if the nested music tracks worked for them.

Experienced this yesterday on a deadline. Issue is easily recreatable.
1. Licensed SAX CHILL HIPHOP BEAT_Adobestock_503039195.wav and dropped it on an empty audio track.
2. Set it as Balanced Background music in Essential Sound.
3. Used Remix tool to get the desired length.
4 Export OMF. No errors but the OMF Audio Files folder was empty.
I deleted the Remixed track and put the music on the same audio track in its original state. DID NOT use Remix tool to alter it. Successful OMF export.
I was able to get around the bug by exporting an OMF package without music. Then I used the remix tool to get the needed length of time. Exported music only as a WAV and delivered it separately to the Sound Designer.
PLEASE FIX THIS! 22.4 has some pretty big potholes for the finishing process...the New Export window being another.

Disabling the music track was my workaround to export the OMF.

If I nested any Remix audio I didnt have any issues exporting an AAF on a Mac.

This is absolutely critical. Don't understand how this was shipped with such a glaring bug.

This is critical for post houses.
