Premiere V22.2
Ok. So. There is a Problem with Premiere V22.2 the M1 Max Chip and the Apple ProRes codec.
I'm using the new M1 Max chip with Premiere and it will not render the Pro Res completely. There is banding which ruins skin tones and sky gradients. The only way to make it work is to open up with the Rosetta option and turn off the GPU acceleration which completely kills any sort of work efficiency. It basically makes working with ProRes impossible. This issue does not happen with other codecs or with if i'm still using the macs with the intel chips.
Hopefully Adobe will realize that this is a severe issue and will fixe it with V 22.3

Hi Beau,
I’m Fergus Hammond and I’m a Premiere Pro product manager, focused on formats. Would it be possible for you to share with me some media (source media and your export), plus a Premier Pro project that shows this problem?
I”d like to take a look at it, share it with my colleagues, and see what’s going on.
Thanks! Fergus

Hello,
I have the same issue, also working on a M1 MAX. It appears both in Premiere and After Effects (preview and render). Same file in DNXHR is clean, Prores is full of artefacts and banding.
The last update did not change this unfortunately.
All the best,
Olivier

Maybe a similar issue, but when I export to ProRes and H.264 using H.264 footage, my exports started flashing random red frames and some frames had digital pixelization where it looked like the codec failed. This issue is only when exporting on my M1 Max and not on my PC. Issues are not visible during playback within Premiere.
