BUG: Sync settings design issue
The design of the sync settings feature is flawed. Often times this feature glitches as well.
When syncing settings, I make sure the "ask me every time" is checked. Then I click sync and it does not ask me whether to upload or download. This then wipes my settings and they are irretrievable.
There needs to be an undo feature in case this happens.
Additionally, there should be a feature where you can select "always choose most recent settings." This way the system can evaluate if the settings saved to the cloud or the settings saved locally on the computer is the most recently updated/saved and sync that file.
Every single time I have bought a new computer over the last decade, there has been some error in transferring settings. Most recently Adobe chose to sync the factory defaults, saving over my settings in the cloud, rather than downloading those. When I tried to manually transfer the keyboard shortcut file from my old PC to my new Mac, I couldn't because the two systems use different keyboard shortcut files.
There needs to be failsafes in place to ensure settings do not get accidentally wiped and new workflows to allow sending of settings more easily. (also the glitches need fixed so when you say "ask me every time" it actually asks you before deleting all your custom settings that take hours to program manually).
