Bug Issue: Premiere Pro 22.1.2 working with .mxf XAVC-I files
I've worked with these files fine in Premiere v15.4.1 and did not have this issue but since updating earlier this month to v22.1.2 I've had several issues with Premiere errors while editing and random crashes without warning or pinwheel of death.
Most common error is "Unable to access resource "SErrorXlND@2x'(type svg)" Attached screen shot below. Once this error occurs I almost always have to completely restart Premiere.
It also has made it nearly impossible to export a finished project from both Premiere and Media Encoder. When doing so it will hang up at some point in the export and create an Accelerated Renderer Error - Unable to produce frame.
The only way I'm able to export is by changing the render settings from GPU to mercury playback engine software only. That work around works for now but isn't great.
The issue is difficult to replicate. I've provided my computer specifications below.
Mac Pro 2019
BigSur 11.6
3.2 GHz 16 Core Xeon W
128 GB Ram
AMD Radeon Pro Vega II 32 gb

We have determined the underlying cause of this issue and we're working on a fix for it. I don't have a date when it will be fixed but when I do, I will share it here.

Cool. Figure that out in a beta next time and don't release it as a "working", "updated" version with no option for paying pros to revert their project to an earlier, semi-stable build. What a trash amateur's app.
Just cut in Da Vinci. Or at this rate iMovie....

I am having the frame substitution error with MXF files in 22.3. It has become a real problem with multiple scenes on the timeline turning black with the first frame black video.

Yes. It's been happening all day.

EDIT: My issue seems to be mostly related to the Timestamp 00:34:45 and is tracked in another post: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/45059587-high-priority-bug-every-sequence-crashes-at-34-46
PREVIOUS POST:
I am experiencing something very similar with my R5C MXF files.
For me, it's also based on a Multi Cam Sequence and generally happens at the timestamp of: 00:34:45 — premiere pro puts about a second of audio in loop, hangs, and I have to force quite the application.
I am on M1 Max MacBook Pro.Adding: going into the Multi Cam Sequence, I can play back the raw footage at 00:34:45 and also the stuff that is at 00:34:45 in the main sequence (since some parts of the multi cam are trimmed out there).
This has happened in 3 separate premiere projects which are 45+ minutes in total length.

Same issue here working with Sony MXF files. Seemingly at random. I've trashed preference and media cache. Any update?

If you could send some files samples to Autokroma for testing this issue it'd be nice ! https://www.autokroma.com/contact

Any fix to this yet? I have a project with a lot of MXF files and basically cannot work on it because of constant crashes. Weirdly the same project never crashed (just went slow) with 22.0 on my 32GB PC laptop.

I'm having the same issue on all Mac Pros working with Canon and Sony MXF files (4K). I've tried every version of Premiere 2022 and can't make basic edits or save projects. Dead in the water here.

I was still having issues with this bug in 22.2.0 so rolled back to 22.1.2 which has *slightly* less issues.
Even tried the new beta with no luck, wouldn't cross your fingers on this being fixed any time soon.

Can anyone say if 22.2.0 fixed this?

I've been cutting a Discovery Channel show for the last three years all shot on C300m2s and this mxf issue is forcing me out of being a loyal Premiere user. I've been cutting on Premiere since 2002 but as a working professional who relies on the software i'm sad to say that this is forcing me out. This problem doesn't even seem to be on the radar of the software engineers as any sort of priority.

Same issue with me and definitely something to do with Premiere not liking MXF files - I have a project which includes Sony Fs7 and C300 mkii footage and both are tripping up and crashing Premiere!! In order to edit the video I had to transcode the MXF files to ProRes, which is awful, the sort of thing I was doing 10/15years ago!
I'm running Mac Pro (2019), Monterey 12.12.1 - I even installed Apple Pro Video Formats 2.2.2 hoping this would fix the issue, but nothing.
Adobe need to fix this - I'm definitely going to start looking into FCPX.

Same issue here. Hanging on timeline, can't export using anything but software mode, and won't save / close without crashing.
Can't even revert back to a previous version of PP at this point since the project file is only for PP 22.

Adobe dropped the ball here and it’s killing me. I’ve also gotten similar crashes with mixed media on AE. Just bombs the whole computer out. Apple actually got me a new computer to resolve the issue before discovering it is an Adobe problem.

How is this not resolved yet ? Seriously it's outrageous. I have moved to Davinci, but still have Premiere projects so still have skin in the game.

Hi amazing bug fixing people - I'm having the same issue.
Mac Pro 2019.
3.2 GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon
96 GB 2933 MHz DDR4
2x AMD Radeon Pro W5700X 16 GB
OSX Catalina 10.15.7Increasingly experienced various issues across multiple short projects including but not limited to:
Error retrieving frames, so audio plays on but picture freezes
Unable to access resource 'S - when trying to save
Error compiling movie
I have tried various versions of PP 2020 2021 2022 - same result.
I've have totally uninstalled and reinstalled deleting preferences - same result.
In fact I've:
1. Moved the entire project to the second raid - made no difference
2. Cleared PP cache - made no difference
3. Reset PP preferences - made no difference
4. Created a new project and imported the one which was failing - made no difference
5. When I found I could not export an H264 or ProRes without it freezing (a 90sec timeline), I exported and reimported a TAGA sequence and exported and reimported a WAV, combined them and then successfully exported the H264.
6. Ran hardware diagnostics - no errors
7. Tested all drives with Disc Warrior - no errorsI work as a freelance video editor on my own equipment.
This is becoming highly embarashing with my clients and I need a fix soon PLEASE!
I know its hard when you cant replicate it.... prehaps an engineer would like to screen share with me...?
Thanks for all you do! -

Same for me. I use most of the time media from A7sIII, Fx6 or FX9. "Unable to access resource "SErrorXlND@2x'(type svg)" Happens in lastest Version of Premiere 2022 or Beta. Also in the 2021 but not that often. It‘s really the worst bug i ever had i can‘t edit with it. You start a project after 2min error messages und white screen and the project can not be saved. Premiere is not usable like that.
