AAF Export ??
support AAF export in PPro silicon version (nothing in 22.2.0 beta)
Impossible for us to send to studio mixing

Hi all,
A quick update from me, the product manager responsible for AAF. We are still working on making AAF work with Apple silicon Mac when Premiere Pro is running in native mode. I don't have a date to share yet but I will update this post as soon as I do. As a reminder, AAF export works when Premiere Pro is running using Rosetta. I do know how annoying that is, so it's definitely important for us to complete the work to make AAF native on Apple silicon. We're close.
Regards,
Fergus

Thanks for the update, Fergus. However, at this point I think we all can assume this is a ploy by Adobe to "encourage" more people to use Audition. Too bad it's not working. I usually like to remain optimistic about things, but I don't believe you will ever make this work. I doubt it is part of your business model to allow people to export their work to an audio engineer who is using anything other than an Adobe product.

Found out about this issue today during a workflow test. rather embarrassing after I insisted on a Premiere Productions workflow over Avid.

Same problem, please fix this! We are relying on Adobe to properly work with the latest technology, ideally in parallel. That is a pretty major function to be missing for a professional program.

I've never, in all my years as full-time Mac user, had to run an app in Rosetta mode, so I do find it rather baffling that Adobe would require users to learn about this odd "solution" to losing AAF export capability when using an M1 Mac.

Not sure which is worse, working to a tight deadline and suddenly finding I can't export an AAF, or the fact Adobe have known about it since last year!

Some of us are students, and are also working to make money, and there is no way to get our head around the export as AAF files.....
Please resolve this issue -

This needs to be fixed ASAP. I don't understand how such core feature of day to day work can still not be operational

How can Premiere be labeled pro when they've removed the option to export AAF's to send your project to sound mix? Adobe drops the ball again!

WHY THE **** ADOBE THINKS PREMIERE IS ACCEPTABLE WITHOUT AAF EXPORT? Adobe, fix this, asap. We already pay a lot, do at least try to ship the software with all the basic functionality, this isn't professional. We have M1 for long now and this still is a problem. Maybe we should switch.

This issue has caused me to try FCPX and by now I love it, this comment has encouraged me to unsubscribe from your service. Thanks for the support!

Five months later, any updates?? Basic functionality in a professional environment. Adobe, you're really great at taking the "Pro" out of Premiere Pro *thumbs up*

This Adobe response that we can all simply use Rosetta is unacceptable. For those of us on Apple silicon, Premiere is simply not a professional application without AAF export. No more excuses!

You can't be serious that this isn't resolved. Is Premiere a professional product or not? I guess that answers my question. Avid or Premiere for this feature doc project I'm starting. Clearly: AVID.

It's F$%ing terrible. So disappointing by Adobe. It's ancient tech, and basic in any editing workflow. And we pay so much cash every month for Adobe. I'm getting so tired. And don't get me started on After Effects. Terrible.

it's April 2022, the new premiere pro update just rolled out and still no AAF Export option under the m1 version.
But hey, we have a new import and export design. That's why I pay so much money every month for the creative cloud app?
I need AAF for almost every project and switching to the intel version is super frustrating.
